The space-saving Iowa enamel onion storage container by Klarstein in the vintage design of the 40s with the inscription "ONION" is not only very stable and large enough to store approx. 1.6 kg of onions, but also an absolute eye-catcher in every kitchen. What is often forgotten: Onions have a long shelf life especially if they are stored in the dark and with light air circulation. The small ventilation holes in the onion container prevent germ formation and the onions stay fresh for longer. Naturally, the storage box can also be used for storing other vegetables and can be cleaned quickly and easily with a damp cloth. With dimensions of approx. 17 x 22.5 x 14 (WxHxD), this onion storage box in country house style fits comfortably on your sideboard, kitchen counter or in the kitchen cupboard. The sturdy stainless enamel sheet steel is very solid and - unlike earthenware or porcelain containers - can withstand the one or other accidental fall.

Ich habe von dieser Serie den Brotkasten und wollte ein vollständiges Set in der Küche. Der Topf ist ausreichend für ein 4 kg Netzt Kartoffeln. Habe ihn am Boden mit Krepp ausgelegt und Kartoffeln aufgefüllt. Nach 1 Woche hatte ich beim öffnen 2-3 verschimmelte Kartoffeln und einen runzligen Geruch. Die Luftlöcher sind scheinbar zu wenig am Boden. Ich habe den Deckel mal leicht geöffnet gelassen. Vom Material und der Verarbeitung kann ich nicht klagen, optisch sehr schön anzusehen. Habe nun Brot-, Kartoffel- und Zwiebeltopf.

I have the bread box from this series and wanted a complete set in the kitchen. The pot is sufficient for a 4 kg net of potatoes. Lined it with crepe on the floor and filled it with potatoes. After 1 week, when I opened it, I had 2-3 moldy potatoes and a wrinkled smell. The air holes are apparently not enough on the ground. I left the lid slightly open. I can't complain about the material and the workmanship, optically very nice to look at. Now have bread, potato and onion pot.

Ich hatte zunächst den Granrosi Kartoffeltopf geschenkt bekommen und war so begeistert, dass ich den Zwiebeltopf gleich selbst gekauft habe. Der Topf sieht gut aus und reicht vom Fassungsvermögen bei gemischten Zwiebelsorten (gelbe Küchenzwiebeln/Schalotten - je ein kleines Netz) völlig aus. Ich kann für beide Töpfe eine Kaufempfehlung geben.

I first got the Granrosi potato pot as a gift and was so enthusiastic that I immediately bought the onion pot myself. The pot looks good and has sufficient capacity for mixed types of onions (yellow onions/shallots - a small net each). I can give a purchase recommendation for both pots.

Der Preis ist in Ordnung, habe von diesen Töpfen vor ca 3 Jahren den Kartoffeltopf gekauft, der sieht noch gut aus und ist immer noch im Einsatz. Den Stern Abzug gibt es, weil bei meinem Zwiebeltopf leider der Deckel nicht abschließt, das hat bei dem Kartoffeltopf noch wunderbar geklappt, ich denke fast, dass es eine Verwechslung gab und dies der Deckel für ein anderes Produkt ist. Ein kg Zwiebeln geht locker rein!

The price is okay, I bought the potato pot from these pots about 3 years ago, it still looks good and is still in use. There is a star deduction because the lid of my onion pot unfortunately does not close, it worked wonderfully with the potato pot, I almost think there was a mix-up and this is the lid for a different product. A kg of onions goes in easily!

Habe mir das ganze Set gekauft, bestehend aus Kartoffel-und Zwiebeltopf, sowie den Brotkasten. Ich bin super begeistert und die Sachen sind ein richtiger Eyecatcher in meiner Küche. Jeder der damit Liebäugeln sollte kann ich nur empfehlen darin zu investieren. Super schön und top Qualität. Sollte was sein, kann man den Verkaüfer direkt per Email kontaktieren und der Kontakt ist wirklich unglaublich nett und zuvorkommend. Von mir gibt es 5 Sterne + und somit eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung...

Ein hübscher Hinkucker. Leider für ein durchschnittliches Zwiebelnetz leider zu klein. Musste mir deshalb einen zweiten dazu kaufen. Mir wäre es lieber gewesen nur einen zu haben, wo alle Zwiebeln rein passen. Mir gefällt der Look. Passt super in meine Küche.

A pretty stunner. Unfortunately too small for an average onion net. So I had to buy a second one. I would have preferred to have just one where all the onions fit. I like the look. Fits great in my kitchen.

Ich habe mir aus der Produktserie den Zwiebel - Knoblauch - Kartoffeltopf sowie den Brotbehälter bestellt. Die Lieferung der Ware ging sehr schnell, die Ware war in (fast) einwandfreien Zustand (der Brotbehälter hatte eine leichte Delle, die ich aber ausbeulen konnte). Optisch sehr ansprechend und leicht zu reinigen. Zur Frische und Haltbarkeit von Kartoffeln, Knoblauch, Zwiebeln und Brot kann ich noch nichts schreiben, da ich die Behälter erst seit gestern im Gebrauch habe.

I ordered the onion - garlic - potato pot and the bread container from the product series. The delivery of the goods was very quick, the goods were in (almost) perfect condition (the bread container had a slight dent, but I was able to get it out). Very attractive to look at and easy to clean. I can't write anything about the freshness and shelf life of potatoes, garlic, onions and bread as I've only been using the containers since yesterday.

Bisher lagen bei mir die Zwiebeln immer in eine schlichten Schale in der Küche, das sieht nicht nur unschön aus, sondern hielten sich die Zwiebeln auch nicht sehr lange. Es musste sich also etwas ändern und bei meiner Suche stieß ich auf diesen Zwiebeltopf, der mich erstmal hauptsächlich wegen dem Preis interessiert hat. Als er dann nach einem Tag (danke Amazon Prime) bei mir ankam, überzeugte nicht nur der Preis, sondern auch die Verarbeitung und Optik. Ich stehe eigentlich nicht besonders auf "Vintage", aber dieser Topf ist schön gestaltet und der Aufdruck wirkt hochwertig. Der Topf selbst besteht aus einfachem Metall, da kann man also nicht viel falsch machen. Es ist nicht zu dünn, sondern wirkt stabil und langlebig. Scharfe Kanten habe ich ebenfalls nicht bemerkt.

So far, the onions have always been in a plain bowl in the kitchen, which not only looks ugly, but the onions didn't last very long either. So something had to change and during my search I came across this onion pot, which initially interested me mainly because of the price. When it arrived a day later (thanks Amazon Prime), I was not only impressed by the price, but also by the workmanship and appearance. I'm not really into "vintage" but this pot is beautifully designed and the print looks high quality. The pot itself is made out of plain metal, so you can't go wrong with it. It's not too thin, but seems stable and durable. I didn't notice any sharp edges either.
