Wirklich klare Eiswürfel! Bisher hatten wir eine von diesen Maschinen, die relativ milchige Eisröhrchen produzieren. Aber mal ehrlich - schöne klare Eiswürfel im Glas sehen doch um Längen besser aus, oder? Nach einigem Herumsuchen und Vergleichen war dann die Klarstein Clearcube die erste Wahl. Amazon hat wie immer flott und perfekt geliefert. Der Hersteller hat die Maschine wirklich gut und sicher verpackt, sämtliche Gehäuseteile aus Edelstehl sogar noch mit einer selbsthaftenden Schutzfolie versehen - keine Beanstandungen. Also: Die Maschine ausgepackt, feucht ausgewischt, kurz stehen gelassen damit sich das Kühlmittel setzt, mit stillem Mineralwasser gefüllt und eingeschaltet. Erster Pluspunkt: Sehr leise im Betrieb. Das Wasser strömt über das gekühlte Metallgitter und baut so die Eiswürfel nicht von außen, sondern von innen auf; etwa so, wie auch ein Eiszapfen in der Natur entsteht, deshalb werden sie ja auch klar. Da hört man aber kein Geplätscher, die Maschine ist wirklich leise. Bis die ersten Eiswürfel fertig sind, dauert es zwar knapp 20 Minuten, aber dafür hat man dann schon mal 24 wirklich (zweiter Pluspunkt und für mich Kern der Sache) schöne, klare Eiswürfel. Dritter Pluspunkt: Durch diese Herstellung sind die Würfel nicht nur schön klar, sondern auch kälter und vor allem härter als die oben genannten „Eisröhrchen“; die Getränke werden also auch nicht so schnell verwässert. Die Würfel werden zwar alle zusammen „als Brett“ produziert, sind aber kinderleicht auseinander zu brechen. Mit der Füllung von 2 Litern Wasser kommt man auf 4 „Bretter“, also 96 Eiswürfel, die nach der ersten Fuhre auch etwas schneller produziert werden. So schnell muss man die Gläser erst einmal leer kriegen... Das Reinigen ist auch kinderleicht, da reicht es schon, nach dem Ablassen des Restwassers (verschraubter Stöpsel hinten an der Maschine) mit Haushaltsrolle durch den Behälter zu wischen, also vierter Pluspunkt. Seit wir diese Maschine haben, möchte meine Frau nur noch diese Eiswürfel, die andere Maschine (Eisröhrchen) steht nur noch für Notfälle im Schrank. Die Klarstein läuft seit wir sie haben jeden Tag und mittlerweile hat sie auch (nächster Pluspunkt) mehr als 20 Liter einfaches Leitungswasser klaglos zu klaren Eiswürfeln verarbeitet - on Top. Wenn man die Maschine einschaltet und die Taste dabei nicht nur antippt, sondern 5 Sekunden festhält, wird der Herstellungsprozess der Eiswürfel um ein paar Minuten verlängert, was den Würfeln natürlich zugute kommt, weil sich hierbei noch eine zusätzliche Schicht bildet. Natürlich auch ein Pluspunkt für mich. Mein Fazit: Genau das, was ich gesucht habe und sie tut exakt, was sie soll - schöne klare Eiswürfel produzieren. Was ich vielleicht noch sagen sollte: Ich bin weder beim Hersteller noch bei Amazon beschäftigt und kriege auch nix für die Bewertung.- ich habe einfach die Maschine gekauft und bin zufrieden.
Really clear ice cubes! Until now we had one of those machines that produced relatively milky ice tubes. But let's be honest - nice, clear ice cubes in a glass look a lot better, don't they? After some searching and comparing, the Klarstein Clearcube was the first choice. Amazon delivered quickly and perfectly as always. The manufacturer packaged the machine really well and safely, even covering all stainless steel housing parts with a self-adhesive protective film - no complaints. So: unpack the machine, wipe it down with a damp cloth, leave it to stand for a moment so that the coolant can settle, fill it with still mineral water and switch it on. First plus point: very quiet in operation. The water flows over the cooled metal grid and builds the ice cubes from the inside rather than from the outside; in a similar way to how icicles form in nature, which is why they are clear. But you can't hear any splashing, the machine is really quiet. It takes about 20 minutes for the first ice cubes to be ready, but you then have 24 really (second plus point and for me the crux of the matter) beautiful, clear ice cubes. Third plus point: This production method not only makes the cubes beautifully clear, but also colder and, above all, harder than the "ice tubes" mentioned above; the drinks are therefore not watered down as quickly. The cubes are all produced together "as a board", but are very easy to break apart. With a filling of 2 liters of water, you get 4 "boards", i.e. 96 ice cubes, which are also produced a little faster after the first batch. You have to empty the glasses so quickly... Cleaning is also child's play, all you have to do is wipe the container with kitchen roll after draining the remaining water (screwed plug at the back of the machine), so fourth plus point. Since we have had this machine, my wife only wants these ice cubes, the other machine (ice tubes) is only kept in the cupboard for emergencies. The Klarstein has been running every day since we got it and (another plus point) it has now processed more than 20 liters of plain tap water into clear ice cubes without complaint - on top of that. If you switch the machine on and don't just touch the button but hold it down for 5 seconds, the ice cube production process is extended by a few minutes, which is of course good for the cubes because an additional layer is formed. Of course, that's also a plus point for me. My conclusion: it's exactly what I was looking for and it does exactly what it's supposed to - produce beautiful, clear ice cubes. What I should perhaps also say: I don't work for the manufacturer or Amazon and I don't get anything for the review - I just bought the machine and I'm happy with it.
