Auf der Verkaufsseite wird das Produkt mit einem extra langen Filter beworben, der auch für "nur eine Tasse geeignet ist". Dem Foto nach zu urteilen liegt das bei c.a.12,5 ml. Tatsächlich reicht der Filter aber nur bis knapp 50ml. Auf dem Video ist das auch so zu sehen. Das ist also widersprüchlich dargestellt. Allerdings tritt kein Kaffeepulver aus, wenn ich den restlichen Kaffee unter dem Sieb ausgieße. Optisch und ohne Verwendung von Plastik ist die French Press sehr gelungen. Die Glaskanne wirkt stabil mit einem breiten Griff und die Verarbeitung des Holzes ist, auch beim Löffel einwandfrei. Die Kanne ist sehr gut und sicher verpackt in geschäumten Plastik, was natürlich im Widerspruch zum plastikfreien Produkt steht. Aber eine sichere Verpackung ist auch wichtig und je nach dem, wo produziert wird sind die Wege auch mal länger und turbulent. Wo meiner Meinung nach wirklich übertrieben wurde ist, dass die Kanne in ihrem Warenkarton sicher eingepackt, dann vom Hersteller noch mal in einen Umkarton verpackt, welcher dann von Amazon noch mal verpackt wurde. Das war definitiv ein Karton zu viel und bei der Gesamtmenge an Müll, für diese kleine Kanne kann man dann tatsächlich nur noch mit dem Kopf schütteln. :)

The sales page advertises the product as having an extra-long filter, which is also good for "just one cup". Judging by the photo, this is around 12.5 ml. In fact, the filter only lasts up to just under 50ml. This can also be seen in the video. So this is contradictory. However, no ground coffee comes out when I pour out the rest of the coffee under the sieve. Visually and without the use of plastic, the French Press is very successful. The glass jug looks stable with a wide handle and the processing of the wood is impeccable, including the spoon. The jug is very well and securely packed in foamed plastic, which of course contradicts the plastic-free product. But safe packaging is also important and depending on where production takes place, the distances can sometimes be longer and turbulent. Where, in my opinion, it was really exaggerated is that the jug was securely packed in its goods box, then packed again by the manufacturer in an outer box, which was then packed again by Amazon. That was definitely one box too many and with the total amount of garbage, you can only shake your head for this small can. :)

Diese French Press aus dem Hause Klarstein gefällt mir sehr gut weil.. -sie kein Plastik enthält, -leicht zu reinigen ist, -eine Füllmengenangabe besitzt, -alles in allem gut abgestimmt ist (Füllmenge,Borosilglas,gebürsteter Edelstahl,Walnussholz) -mir der Kaffee schmeckt! Der Preis ist zwar vergleichsweise hoch zu den am meist verbreiteten Anbietern eines solchen Produktes aber mich hat die Qualität überzeugt. Es sei auch gesagt: Ja, dass Glas wird heiß, also Vorsicht! -Aber der Griff nicht! Und der Deckel liegt recht lose, fällt aber nicht ab wenn sich der Stempel ganz unten befindet. Das Glas ist recht dick, zu der Bruchfestigkeit kann ich nichts sagen aber es hält den Inhalt (0,35l) also zwei kleine Tassen Kaffee, lang genug warm um diesen genießen zu können.

I like this French press from Klarstein very much because.. -it contains no plastic, -is easy to clean, -has a capacity indication, -everything is well coordinated (capacity, borosil glass, brushed stainless steel, walnut wood) -me the coffee tastes good! Although the price is comparatively high compared to the most common providers of such a product, the quality convinced me. It should also be said: Yes, the glass gets hot, so be careful! -But not the handle! And the lid is quite loose, but doesn't fall off when the stamp is all the way down. The glass is quite thick, I can't say anything about the breaking strength, but it keeps the content (0.35l), i.e. two small cups of coffee, warm long enough to be able to enjoy it.

Der Artikel wird mit Bruchfestigkeit beworben. Das ist überhaupt nicht der Fall. Sie ist einmal umgefallen (nicht runtergefallen und ohne Inhalt) schon war sie kaputt. Ansonsten war sie super praktisch und optisch auch echt gut. Aber man sollte nicht mit Merkmalen werben, die man nicht halten kann.

The item is advertised as breaking strength. That's not the case at all. It fell over once (didn't fall down and without contents) and it was already broken. Otherwise it was super practical and optically really good. But you shouldn't advertise with features you can't keep.

Die Kaffeepresse funktioniert einwandfrei: 1. Der Kaffeesatz blieb bei uns bisher immer unter der Presse. 2. Die Presse ist sehr leicht auseinander zu bauen, um sie gründlich zu reinigen. 3. Der Holzgriff und der Holzlöffel wirken sehr edel. 4. Der Kaffee bleibt nicht Ewigkeiten heiß (ist ja auch keine Thermoskanne), doch kann man ihn auch schon einmal eine Weile stehen lassen, ohne dass er gleich erkaltet. Einziges Manko: Trotz Handwäsche ist leider die Skala nach 3 monatiger Nutzung teilweise schon weggewaschen. Da würde ich mir doch mehr Haltbarkeit wünschen.

The coffee press works perfectly: 1. The coffee grounds have always stayed under the press. 2. The press is very easy to disassemble for thorough cleaning. 3. The wooden handle and wooden spoon look very noble. 4. The coffee doesn't stay hot for ages (it's not a thermos flask either), but you can let it sit for a while without it getting cold right away. The only drawback: Despite hand washing, the scale is unfortunately partially washed away after 3 months of use. I would wish for more durability.

Der Kaffeebereiter sieht schön aus und der Holzlöffel dazu ist super. Optisch wirklich der Hit. Im Detail dann leider nicht mehr. Der Deckel ist aus Metall und sitzt lose obenauf, er wackelt so sehr, dass beim Runterdrücken gerne mal heißer Kaffee oben rausspritzt. Beim Schütten muss man den Deckel festhalten, da er sonst abfällt. Da er aus Metall ist, verbrennt man sich dabei die Finger. Eine Art Sieb am Ausguss wäre auch sinnvoll gewesen und würde den Deckel vielleicht stabiler im Glas halten. Ich bin enttäuscht, dass ein so schönes und vermeintlich durchdachtes Produkt dann doch irgendwie nicht so toll ist. Schade.

The coffee maker looks nice and the wooden spoon is great. Visually really a hit. Unfortunately, no more details. The lid is made of metal and sits loosely on top, it wobbles so much that when you press it down, hot coffee squirts out at the top. When pouring you have to hold the lid, otherwise it falls off. Since it's made of metal, you'll burn your fingers. A kind of sieve on the spout would also have been useful and would perhaps keep the lid more stable in the glass. I am disappointed that such a beautiful and supposedly well thought-out product is somehow not that great. A pity.

Zuerst ist aus meiner Sicht zu sagen, dass dies die beste Umsetzung des Konzepts "Plastikfreie Frenchpress" ist, die ich bis jetzt gefunden habe. Ein einziges Problem habe ich allerdings, dort wo der Griff an der Kanne ansetzt, ist die Wand von innen leicht nach außen gewölbt. Wenn man nun das Sieb nach unten drückt, ist auf Höhe der Griffe kein Kontakt mehr zwischen Sieb und Wand und ein Teil des Kaffeesatzes fließt am Sieb vorbei wieder in den Kaffee. Das sollte man bei einer Version 2.0 gerne berücksichtigen. Ansonsten bin ich sehr zufrieden, daher 4 von 5 Sterne.

First of all, from my point of view, this is the best implementation of the "plastic-free French press" concept that I have found so far. However, I have one problem, where the handle attaches to the pot, the wall is slightly curved from the inside to the outside. If you now press the sieve down, there is no longer any contact between the sieve and the wall at the height of the handles and some of the coffee grounds flow past the sieve back into the coffee. This should be taken into account with a version 2.0. Otherwise I am very satisfied, hence 4 out of 5 stars.

Sehr hochwertiger Gesamteindruck. Sie tut auf jedenfall was sie soll und sieht dabei noch sehr gut aus! Vorallem die Materialien wirken wirklich richtig hochwertig (Edelstahl und Holz). Das Glas ist auch in einem Makellosen zustand. Von Meisterhand gefertigt sozusagen. Es wirkt sehr elegant, da es so dünn ist, aber ich hab da immer Angst, dass es mir zerbricht. Wahrscheinlich ist die Angst unbegründet, da es irgend ein spezielles Glas ist, aber hab eben schon mit anderen Glas Utensilien schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Alles in allem 100% Kaufempfehlung. Hab keine Kaffeemaschine mehr nur noch die French Press

Very high-quality overall impression. It definitely does what it's supposed to and looks great doing it! Above all, the materials seem really high quality (stainless steel and wood). The glass is also in immaculate condition. Made by master craftsmen, so to speak. It looks very elegant because it's so thin, but I'm always afraid of breaking it. The fear is probably unfounded, since it is some kind of special glass, but I've had bad experiences with other glass utensils. All in all 100% buy recommendation. I no longer have a coffee maker, only the French Press

Wir haben die Frech-Press heute, wie gewohnt, schnell und ohne Probleme geliefert bekommen und direkt ausprobiert. Zu dem Produkt: Die Komponenten machen einen guten stabilen Eindruck. Mein Mann hat sich die Kanne primär zum milchaufschäumen gekauft, um eine Alternative zu den Batteriebetrieben zu haben. Der Schaum ist wunderbar dicht und stabil geworden. Was mich aber etwas enttäuscht hat.. Die Verpackung bestand überwiegend aus Plastik. Es ist wirklich schade, dass ein Unternehmen wie Glaswerk, die in den Produkten kein Plastik verwenden, keinen Weg gefunden hat für die Verpackung Alternativen zu finden. Mich würde es sehr freuen, wenn dies noch geschehen würde. Dennoch das Produkt ist super und ist definitiv weiterzuempfehlen. Vielen Dank!

As usual, we received the Frech-Press quickly and without any problems and tried it out right away. About the product: The components make a good, stable impression. My husband bought the jug primarily for frothing milk to have an alternative to battery operation. The foam has become wonderfully dense and stable. But I was a bit disappointed. The packaging was mostly made of plastic. It's really a shame that a company like Glaswerk, which doesn't use plastic in their products, couldn't find a way to find alternative packaging. I would be very happy if this would still happen. Nevertheless, the product is great and is definitely recommended. Thanks very much!

Gute Qualität, auch wenn das Glas recht dünn ist. Sieht sehr schick aus und funktioniert wie sie soll. Das Sieb hakelt ein wenig beim abschrauben (wenn man es reinigen möchte), da das Gewinde nicht ganz sauber geschnitten ist, da besteht Nachholbedarf. Wir haben diese French-Press bestellt da uns das Design gefällt und wir auf Kunststoff verzichten wollen (Umweltschutz und so...) leider kam die Presse in einem Karton in Styropor. Das lässt sich doch auch bestimmt mit anderen Materialien sicher verpacken.

Good quality, even if the glass is quite thin. Looks very nice and works as it should. The sieve snags a bit when unscrewing it (if you want to clean it), since the thread is not cut very cleanly, there is a need to catch up. We ordered this French press because we like the design and we want to do without plastic (environmental protection and such...) unfortunately the press came in a styrofoam box. Surely that can also be safely packed with other materials.

Wir haben uns sehr auf unsere erste French Press gefreut. Ohne Plastik sollte sie sein und und mit edlem Äußeren. Noch dazu war uns das Unternehmen sehr sympathisch. Als die Kanne kam, ist uns schon der schiefe Walnussknopf aufgefallen. Da es sich um ein Naturprodukt handelt, haben wir gedacht: Nicht schön, aber akzeptabel! Leider hat sich dann nach einigen Wochen der Benutzung heraus gestellt, dass der Knopf wohl deshalb so schief saß, weil das im Holz eingelassene Metallgewinde zerbrochen ist. Offensichtlich hatten sich Bruchstücke dabei so verkeilt, dass der Knopf zwar schief aber dennoch fest saß. Jedenfalls hat sich der Knopf nach einigen Wochen gelöst, und die Bruchstücke des Gewindes fielen uns entgegen. Damit war die Kanne kaum noch zu gebrauchen, da der Knopf jetzt praktisch nicht mehr hielt. Ein Kontaktieren des Kundenservice zwecks Ersatz des Knopfes blieb ohne Antwort. Inzwischen hat sich das Thema komplett erledigt, da meiner Frau die Kunststoffspülbürste (!) in die Kanne gefallen ist, was einen Riss durch Seitenwände und Boden verursacht hat. Der Kanne scheint entweder der Transport oder die Nutzung nicht bekommen zu sein. Und der Kundenservice hat schlicht nicht reagiert. Wir sind nun auf Edelstahl umgestiegen. Nicht gans so schön anzusehen, aber deutlich robuster. Der Kaffee bleibt darin länger warm und er schmeckt auch noch besser. Update: Bewertung von 1 auf 4 geändert, da sich der Kundenservice von Glaswerk inzwischen gemeldet hat. Es wurde sowohl der volle Kaufpreis erstattet plus eine neue Kanne inklusive eines Goodies zugeschickt. Da wir momentan noch besagte Edelstahl French-Press im Einsatz haben, haben wir die neue Kanne noch nicht im Einsatz. Insofern lässt sich keine Aussage darüber treffen, ob diese robuster ist. Der Walnussknauf sitzt aber schon mal gerade.

We were really looking forward to our first French Press. It should be without plastic and with a noble appearance. In addition, we were very sympathetic to the company. When the pot came, we noticed the crooked walnut knob. Since it is a natural product, we thought: not beautiful, but acceptable! Unfortunately, after a few weeks of use, it turned out that the button was probably sitting so crookedly because the metal thread embedded in the wood broke. Fragments had obviously wedged themselves in such a way that the button was crooked but still firmly in place. In any case, the button came loose after a few weeks and fragments of the thread fell towards us. With that the pot was hardly usable anymore, since the button now practically didn't hold any longer. Contacting customer service to have the button replaced went unanswered. In the meantime, the issue has been completely resolved, as my wife's plastic washing-up brush (!) fell into the pot, which caused a crack in the side walls and base. The pot doesn't seem to have gotten either the transport or the use. And customer service just didn't respond. We have now switched to stainless steel. Not so nice to look at, but much more robust. The coffee stays warm longer and tastes even better. Update: Rating changed from 1 to 4 because Glaswerk's customer service has now contacted us. The full purchase price was refunded plus a new pot including a goodie was sent. Since we are currently still using the aforementioned stainless steel French press, we have not yet used the new pot. In this respect, no statement can be made as to whether it is more robust. But the walnut knob is sitting straight.

Sehr schön verarbeitetes Glas, Metall und Holz. Nutzung macht Spaß. Visuell und haptisch angenehm. Der hölzerne Löffel als Extra nimmt eher von der Qualität des eigentlichen Produktes weg, da er bei weitem nicht so schön verarbeitet ist. Reinigung ist einfach, Gewinde zum auseinanderschrauben macht keine Probleme. Update nach ~1 Monat: Leider habe ich die Schwachstelle der French Press gefunden. Der Holzgriff ist anscheinend mithilfe von Metallzacken und Klebstoff? an dem Stab befestigt. Diese Zacken haben sich gelockert bzw. sind abgebrochen. Wie man im Foto sieht ist nur noch ein Zacken vorhanden. Resultat ist, dass der griff am Stab wackelt. Da das Holz nicht gesplittert ist wundert es mich sehr, wie die Metallzacken abbrechen konnten. Die French Press als Ganzes habe ich nach einer Reinigung schnellstmöglich abgetrocknet (insbesondere wegen dem Holzgriff). Ich werde versuchen, das Ganze mit Sekundenkleber zu retten, jedoch wäre an dieser Stelle Funktion wichtiger als Ästhetik gewesen. Aus diesem Grund ein Stern Abzug.

Very beautifully processed glass, metal and wood. Use is fun. Visually and haptically pleasing. The wooden spoon as an extra takes away from the quality of the actual product, as it is not nearly as beautifully finished. Cleaning is easy, thread to unscrew is no problem. Update after ~1 month: Unfortunately I found the vulnerability of the French Press. The wooden handle is apparently made with the help of metal prongs and glue? attached to the stick. These spikes have loosened or broken off. As you can see in the photo, there is only one spike left. The result is that the grip on the staff wobbles. Since the wood didn't splinter, I'm very surprised how the metal prongs could break off. I dried the French Press as a whole as quickly as possible after cleaning (especially because of the wooden handle). I'll try to save the whole thing with superglue, but function would have been more important than aesthetics at this point. For this reason a star deduction.

Ich habe die French Press von Glaswerk bestellt, weil ich eine plastikfreie, platzsparende Alternative zu meiner Kaffeemaschine gesucht habe. Gestern bestellt heute da! Perfekt! Beim Auspacken leider die Ernüchterung, das gute Stück hat den Transport nicht überstanden. An sich eine wirklich hochwertigen French Press, der Griff und der beiliegende Löffel aus Wallnussholz werten das Ganze nochmal zusätzlich auf. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt also absolut! Kaputt ist sie glaube ich nur weil Amazon einen zu großen Karton verwendet hat, in dem der Karton mit der French Press frei herumfliegen konnte. Ich habe dann die beiliegend angegebene E-Mailadresse kontaktiert und sofort eine Antwort erhalten! (ich hab die E-Mail an einem Samstag versendet) Mir wurde ohne Komplikationen sofort zugesichert, dass ich eine neue French Press zugeschickt bekomme. Bin sehr begeistert von dem netten Support und warte gespannt auf meine neue French Press.

I ordered the Glaswerk French Press because I was looking for a plastic-free, space-saving alternative to my coffee machine. Ordered yesterday here today! Perfect! Unfortunately, the disillusionment when unpacking, the good piece did not survive the transport. In itself a really high-quality French press, the handle and the enclosed spoon made of walnut wood add value to the whole thing. So the price-performance ratio is absolutely right! I think it's only broken because Amazon used a box that was too big in which the box with the French press could fly around freely. I then contacted the enclosed email address and received an immediate response! (I sent the email on a Saturday) I was immediately assured, without any complications, that I would be sent a new French Press. I am very enthusiastic about the nice support and am eagerly awaiting my new French Press.
