Immerhin kostet Trockenobst in Bioqualität so einiges.

We have so many apples every year that we don't even know what to do with them. This year we decided on the Klarstein Fruit Jerky because we really like eating dried apple rings and we wanted to try it out for ourselves. After all, dried fruit in organic quality costs a lot. The dehydrator is pretty big, there's no room for it in a closet or anything. It has 10 drawers that look very "simple". I also find that the individual drawers are very difficult to pull out. On the upper side are the temperature controls and time setting, the values vary depending on the fruit. I cut our apples into thin rings and let them dry for 10 hours at 57 degrees. I put the machine on our kitchen table and let it run overnight so that it was free and the night electricity could be used. The lattice-shaped inserts can be cleaned with a damp cloth after removing the fruit, nothing got stuck on the lattices for me. I would like to use it to dry herbs from the garden next and I am curious how I can remove them. Since the "holes" in the grids are already very large and the compartments are difficult to remove, some things will certainly fall down through these holes before they can be removed. I am totally satisfied with the production of apple rings, the volume is also very pleasant (reminiscent of a cooker hood).

Product dedicated to lovers of dry food and self-production who are looking for a system for the preparation of even large quantities. I come from a considerably smaller product (dryer7yogurt maker hybrid) and after some trials I decided to make the leap to something more serious. This dryer in particular is the most similar to the professional ones in terms of setting (drawers and fan) but at the same time maintains a decidedly low cost and a very low weight in relation to the volume. The dimensions are quite important but it is a necessary compromise to have such a capacity. There are 10 fully removable and washable grilled pull-out drawers on which to place what you want to dry. If you don't have experience or don't feel like studying everything there is to know about how to dry foods, just follow the table in the instruction booklet. You must limit yourself to cutting in the indicated mode (wedges, slices, slices, etc.), choosing the temperature (using the knob) and finally setting the timer (hours button, minutes and start button). A few steps and the game is done. Completely different foods can also be inserted as long as they require a similar temperature from the table, in this case it will only be necessary to remove those with a shorter drying time in advance. Taking the example of fruit, almost everything can be included in the same cycle. Also from the table, you will also find the references for checking unfamiliar foods where the expected consistency at the end of the cycle will be indicated, which can range from soft to crunchy depending on the food. Cleaning is really simple, you can remove all the drawers at the same time and rinse them in the sink, while you have full access for cleaning in the body of the appliance (which hardly gets dirty). As far as safety is concerned, the only part that can be considered dangerous in the case of children is the rear which, as well specified, tends to heat up but is usually positioned close to a wall, for the rest you can tinker on all the remaining sides without No problem. During the drying cycle the only noise you hear is the rear fan which, after all, rotates with a low noise otherwise you will only have to enjoy the scent of the food and the tastings at the end of the cycle. For the moment, I have had the greatest satisfaction with fruit (bananas, peaches and pineapples) and with tomatoes which I then put in oil. A truly recommended tool for those who love genuine and self-produced food!

With its 10 tiers, the Fruit Jerky is more for large/frequent bets. However, the purchase is definitely worth it. Very good drying results are achieved and the device is easy to clean afterwards.
