Habe den Automat jetzt seit 4 Tagen und die ersten 3 kg Fleisch durchgejagt. Mit der Bedienung und Handhabung bin ich zufrieden. Gerät schaltet sich automatisch nach Ablauf der eingestellten Zeit aus ohne irgendwelche Piepgeräusche zu machen. Dadurch kann man ihn auch ohne Probleme nachts laufen lassen. Das erste Beef Jerky war nach 6 Stunden fertig und das dicker geschnittene Material nach 10 Stunden (bei eingestellten 50 Grad). Die Verarbeitung ist gut. Edelstahl gefällt mir. Die Tür/Klappe wird einfach nur eingehängt. War erst skeptisch, mittlerweile finde ich es aber sehr praktisch/einfach gehalten. Ohne irgendwelche Mechanismen, bei denen die Tür einrasten müssten oder ähnliches. Lüfter finde ich persönlich weder auffallend laut noch auffallend leise. Gerät macht beim Wechsel von nicht-heizen zu heizen keine Geräusche (hatte ich betreits bei anderem Gerät). Die eingestellte Temperatur wird im Gerät auf das Grad genau am oberen Rost erreicht. Einen Stern/Punkt Abzug muss ich geben, weil ich den Temperaturunterschied von 10 Grad zwischen oberen Rost zum unteren Rost sehr groß finde.

Have the machine for 4 days now and hunted through the first 3 kg of meat. I am satisfied with the operation and handling. The device switches off automatically after the set time has elapsed without making any beeping noises. This means you can run it at night without any problems. The first beef jerky was ready after 6 hours and the thicker cut material after 10 hours (at a set 50 degrees). The processing is good. I like stainless steel. The door/flap is simply hung in. I was skeptical at first, but now I find it very practical/simple. Without any mechanisms where the door would have to snap into place or anything like that. Personally, I find fans neither remarkably loud nor remarkably quiet. Device does not make any noise when changing from non-heating to heating (I already had that with another device). The set temperature is reached in the device to the exact degree on the upper grid. I have to give a star/point deduction because I find the temperature difference of 10 degrees between the upper grate and the lower grate very large.

Ich habe schon Fruchleder hergestellt, Bananen, Feigen und Tomaten getrocknet. Das Gerät ist jetzt im Moment wieder in Betrieb und bis jetzt hat alles einwandfrei funktioniert. Nur die Zeiten, die im Heft angegeben sind stimmen nicht ganz. Man muß es länger tocknen lassen. Ansonsten voll und ganz zufrieden.

Funktioniert gut. Gute Verarbeitung. Prima zum Trocknen von Kräutern und Obst. Auch Hefeteig kann man sehr gut darin gehen lassen. Nur der Geräuschpegel ist etwas nervig, gerade bei der Deckeleinhängung. Besser er steht an einem Platz, an der er mit seiner Lautstärke nicht stört.

Durch die Größe muß man nicht 10 mal anfangen und kann gleich mehrere Äpel (6-7) trocknen. Die 5 feinmaschigen Gitter sind besser, da man die getrockneten Scheiben besser lösen kann als auf den groben Einschüben. Das Gerät steht bei uns wenn es in Betrieb ist in einem extra Raum, so das die Geräusche nicht stören. Die Gitter aus Metall sind wesentlich besser als Plastikeinschübe. Das Gerät ist einfach zu bedienen, das Resultat super. Die Griffe und der Verschluss (Tür) könnten hochwertiger sein. Ansonsten sehr zufrieden.

Ich selber kann über das Gerät wenig berichten, da ich es meinem Schwiegervater geschenkt habe. Er hat sich aber gleich mal damit beschäftigt und stolz präsentierte er die ersten getrockneten Äpfel zum probieren. Geschmacklich waren sie sehr gut. Mit dem Gerät und dem Umgang ist laut meinem Schwiegervater alles ok. Er ist 83 Jahre alt und hat das Gerät schnell verstanden, es ist also leicht zum Bedienen. Was verbesserungswürdig wäre ist dei Bedienungsanleitung . Sie ist so klein geschrieben, dass meine Lesehilfe nicht ausgereicht hat. Was man noch beilegen könnte, ist eine umfangreichere Tabelle mit verschiedenen Obst Sorten. Aber alles in allem 4-5 Sterne. MFG. Uli Brugger

I can't say much about the device myself because I gave it to my father-in-law. But he got busy right away and proudly presented the first dried apples to try. They were very tasty. According to my father-in-law, everything is ok with the device and the handling. He's 83 years old and picked up the device quickly, so it's easy to use. What could be improved is the user manual. Super Gerät mit viel Platz und ordentlich Leistung! Ecken etwas Scharfkantig an den Ecken -> hab ich abgeschliffen. Man sollte das Gerät auf eine Erhöhung stellen sonst sammelt sich das Kondenswasser unterhalb. Den Raum wo gearbeitet ist gut lüften in den ersten 2-3 Stunden sonst regnet es von der Decke wenn der Raum zu klein ist ;)

Mein erstes Dörrgerät war ein Secondhand Kauf für den schmalen Geldbeutel. Rund, 6 Lagen aus Plastik und sehr einfach verbaut. Nach etwa einem Jahr gaben die Gitter nach und brachen kaputt. Da ich Geschmack am Dörren gefunden hatte, wollte ich nun ein vernünftiges Gerät. So stieg ich auf von Dörrte Dancing zu meinem "Dörrti Harry", wie ich meinen Klarstein liebevoll nenne. Was soll ich sagen? Die alten Ägypter hätten sich viel Mühen und Zeit erspart, wenn sie ihre Pharaonen einfach ein paar Stunden in dieses Gerät gebettet hätten. Es gibt nichts, was Dörrti Harry nicht schafft - und das in einer spektakulären Zeit! Direkt beim ersten Durchgang wollte ich ihn auf die Probe stellen. Ich habe das Obst bewusst dicker geschnitten, als bei meiner alten Dörrte. Nach dem Einstellen war ich mir nicht sicher, ob ich ihn bereits verärgert hatte. Dann fiel mir auf: der Mann kann schweigen! Gut, vielleicht nicht ganz, aber es ist eher ein leises Summen als ein ständiges Brummen, wie ich es bislang gewohnt war. Und nicht nur das, er war dann auch noch schneller als die alte Dörrte. Bislang habe ich immer ohne extra Dörrfolien gearbeitet, was sich beim Plastik manchmal im Nachhinein als Herausforderung herausstellte. Das Dörrgut klebte fest und zerbrach beim lösen. Nicht so mit Dörrti: Er kann gut loslassen, und wenn doch Rückstände hängen bleiben, kann man diese einfach mit einem nassen Schwamm abspülen. Platz bietet er dabei mehr als ausreichend! Zwei klein geschnittene Wirsing Köpfe passen locker rein, und dann ist immer noch genug Platz für anderes Gemüse um das eigene Brühepulver herzustellen. An Obst durfte es bei mir bislang Apfel, Birne, Erdbeeren, Mango, Kiwis, Honigmelone und Banane sein. Auch hier: tolles Ergebnis! Die Einstellung von Temperatur und Zeit ist digital und lässt sich somit Minuten und Temperatur genau einstellen. Die zwei eingebauten Gebläse lassen die Luft während des dörrens im Innern zirkulieren, durch die seitlichen Lüftungsschlitze wird die Feuchtigkeit nach außen abgegeben. Nun habe ich das Gerät erst ein paar Tage, daher kann ich keine Beurteilung zur Langlebigkeit geben. Aber in der kurzen Zeit habe ich nicht nur in der Verarbeitung und der Handhabung, sondern tatsächlich auch in dem entstandenen Ergebnis große Unterschiede zum günstigen Produkte festgestellt. Das trockene Dörrgut ist viel feiner und gleichmäßiger getrocknet. In etwa vergleichbar mit Kohlensäure, welche mal sehr große Blasen hat und mal sehr feine Perlen. Für mich gibt es eine klare Kaufempfehlung für alle, die gern und viel mit dem Dörrgerät arbeiten.

After setting it, I wasn't sure if I had already pissed him off. Then it struck me: the man can be silent! Well, maybe not quite, but it's more of a low hum than a constant hum like I'm used to. And not only that, he was even faster than old Dörrte. So far I have always worked without extra dehydrating foils, which sometimes turned out to be a challenge with the plastic afterwards. The dried food stuck and broke when loosened. Not so with Dörrti: he can let go easily, and if residues do get stuck, you can simply rinse them off with a wet sponge. It offers more than enough space! Two heads of savoy cabbage cut into small pieces fit in easily, and then there is still enough space for other vegetables to make your own stock powder. So far, I’ve had apples, pears, strawberries, mangoes, kiwis, honeydew melon and bananas as fruit. Again: great result! The setting of temperature and time is digital and can therefore be set precisely in minutes and temperature. The two built-in fans allow the air to circulate inside during drying, while the moisture is released to the outside through the side ventilation slots. I've only had the device for a few days, so I can't comment on its longevity. But in the short time I have noticed big differences to the cheap products not only in the processing and handling, but also in the result. The dried food is much finer and more evenly dried. Roughly comparable to carbonic acid, which sometimes has very large bubbles and sometimes very fine bubbles. For me there is a clear purchase recommendation for everyone who likes to work a lot with the dehydrator.

Vor dem Kauf haben wir uns verschiedene Geräte online angeschaut. Das Gerät von Klarstein überzeugt mit seinem sehr großen Fassungsvermögen aufrund der 6 übereinanderliegenden Einschübe. Alle Einschübe lassen sich problemlos auch in der Spülmaschine reinigen. Der Deckel läßt sich mit einer Hand komplett abnehmen und das Gerät damit unkompliziert befüllen. Für jedes Trocknungsprodukt stehen verschiedene Temparaturstufen zur Wahl. Das Gerät ist gut geeignet, wenn man es dauerhaft aufgestellt lassen will. Um es immer wieder aufzuräumen ist es zu groß. Aufgrund seiner eckigen Form läßt es sich aber gut in Küchenecken platzieren. Wir nutzen das Gerät hauptsächlich zum Obst trocknen und lassen es dann einfach über Nacht laufen. Am nächsten Morgen haben die Äpfel genau die richtige Trocknungsreife.

Ein tolles Gerät mit ausziehbaren Einlegefächern. Ungewohnt ist, dass die Einstellungen am Timer und Temperatur auf der hinteren Oberseite gemacht werden. Damit muss genügend Platz vorhanden sein, um die Bedienung vornehmen zu können. Das ist aber wohl technisch bedingt, weil die elektronische Einheit nur hinten angebracht ist. Weiterhin erscheint die Bedienungsanleitung gut zu sein, jedoch stellt man im Detail fest, dass das Kapitel "Empfohlende Lebensmittel und Trockenzeiten" fehlt, auf das wiederholt hingewiesen wird. Nach Rückfrage beim Hersteller kommt die Antwort recht schnell, aber unbefriedigend: "Leider ist die Bedienungsanleitung aktuell fehlerhaft, eine überarbeitete Version liegt aktuell auch uns noch nicht vor. Ich empfehle die gewünschten Daten von Google zu beziehen." Schade, dass selbst der Hersteller hier nicht unterstützend Auskunft geben kann. Es bleibt also nicht aus, ein eigenes Kochbuch zusätzlich zu erwerben.

Das Gerät kommt mit 630Watt und verfügt über 8 Etagen, das Material ist hochwertiges Edelstahl, die Gitter sind schnell und leicht zu reinigen, sie dürfen in die Spülmaschine.

Der erste Eindruck ist sehr positiv, das Gerät ist bestens verarbeitet, kompakt und pflegeleicht. Die 8 Einschübe bestehen aus Edelstahl, sie kommen in feiner Gitterform, sind ebenfalls sehr gut verarbeitet. Innen wie außen besteht er aus Edelstahl, die Hochwertigkeit fällt sofort ins Auge. Die Gitter lassen sich einfach einschieben, sie sitzen perfekt auf den Einschubschienen. Geschlossen wird der Dehydrator mit einer Edelstahltür, diese wird einfach eingehängt.

Wozu brauche ich einen Dehydrator?
Das Gerät trocknet Früchte, Gemüse, Kräuter, Fleisch uvm. Zu einer gesunden Ernährung gehören für mich auch Trockenfrüchte, vom Apfel bis zur Ananas, ich biete sie als Snack oder Knabberei an, verwende sie für das Müsli oder zum Backen, getrocknete Früchte sind immer passend und vielseitig verwendbar. Durch die schonende Trocknung bleiben Vitamine und Co erhalten, saisonales Obst kann das ganze Jahr über vernascht werden.

Beef Jerky - Fleischstreifen gelingen perfekt, Kräuter behalten das Aroma, Gemüse ist immer griffbereit, braucht man frisches Obst - Gemüse, dann macht man den Vorgang einfach rückgängig in dem man Feuchtigkeit - Wasser wieder zuführt. Mit diesem sehr hochwertigen Gerät bekommt man das best mögliche Ergebnis, es ist professionell und leicht zu bedienen.
Auf 8 Etagen findet jede Menge Obst, Gemüse, Fleisch oder Kräuter Platz, es darf auch gleichzeitig gedörrt werden, der Apfel bleibt ein Apfel, das Fleisch behält seinen Geschmack, die Aromen vermischen sich nicht. Das Gerät ist optimal um größere Mengen zu Dörren.

Durch den Umluftbetrieb werden alle Produkte gleichmäßig gedörrt, umdrehen ist nicht notwendig. Das Gerät einschalten, programmieren und starten. Die Bedienung ist einfach, die Beschreibung sehr gut, in der Beschreibung findet man auch Dörrzeiten für die unterschiedlichen Lebensmittel.
Übrigens profitiert auch unser Hund von Trockenfleisch und Fisch, ich weiß welche Produkte ich verwende, wo sie herkommen und das sie nicht behandelt sind.

Mein Fazit
der Fruit Jerky Pro 8 Dörrautomat - Dehydrator von Klarstein ist für uns der perfekte Dörrautomat, er ist leistungsstark, kompakt und liefert immer perfekte Ergebnisse. Gesunde Ernährung, saisonales Obst genießen, obwohl die Saison lange vorbei ist, wichtig ist nur, dass man das Dörrobst - Gemüse in gut verschließbaren Dosen oder Gläsern aufbewahrt.
Er bekommt eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung. Der Preis ist sehr gut, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist stimmig.

Erst einmal funktionierte der Versand ohne jegliche Probleme und in kürzester Zeit (3 Tage). Das Gerät war absolut professionell verpackt, so dass Transportschäden äußerst unwahrscheinlich wahren. Die Inbetriebnahme war kinderleicht und ohne die Betriebsanleitung zu lesen machbar. Dennoch empfehle ich, die mehrsprachige Betriebsanleitung zu studieren. Nicht wegen der Bedienung des Dörrautomaten, die ist rein intuitiv möglich, sondern wegen der wertvollen Tops, das Trocknen verschiedener Lebensmittel betreffend. Vor dem ersten Gebrauch mit Lebensmitteln empfehle ich allerdings einen zwei- bis dreistündigen Betrieb ohne Inhalt auf höchster Temperaturstufe, einfach um den typischen "Neugerätegeruch zu eliminieren". Danach wird die Freude aber ungetrübt sein. Ich habe gleich am ersten Tag ein super leckeres Beef Jerky hergestellt. Wie ein solches schmecken sollte, weiß ich von meinen vielen Amerikaaufenthalten. Von mir gibt es eine uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung!

Before using it for the first time with food, however, I recommend running it for two to three hours without any content at the highest temperature level, simply to eliminate the typical "new device smell". After that, however, the joy will be undiminished. I made a super delicious beef jerky on the first day. From my many stays in America, I know how such a dish should taste. I have an unreserved recommendation to buy!

Positiv 1 - das Gerät tut was es tun soll und das auch sehr zufriedenstellend. Allerdings ist das eher ein Hygienefaktor das das Gerät funktioniert und nichts wirklich besonderes. Positiv 2 - das Gerät ist so gut wie frei von Kuststoff (Ausnahme sind die Griffmulden) und vollkommen geruchs- sowie geschmacksneutral. Negativ 1 - das Gerät entspricht in keinster Weise auch nur minimalen Sicherheitsanforderungen. Zwar weisst ein Aufkleber auf die gefährlich scharfen Kanten hin, jedoch sind unzählige, nicht entgratete und damit zum Teil rasiermesserscharfe Kanten nicht wirklich akzeptabel. Auch und gerade nicht bei einem Gerät dieser Preisklasse. Negativ 2 - an den Halteschienen der Trocknungsgitter sind in schlecht zugänglichen Ecken reichlich Reste der Schutzfolie vorhanden welche den Edelstahl in der Fertigung vor Kratzern schützt. Die Folienreste muss man mühseelig abpopeln. Tut man das nicht werden die ersten Trockenläufe sicher nett nach Kunststoff schmecken. Folienreste in einem Gerät das heiss wird und zum Verarbeiten von Lebensmittel dient sind für mich inakzeptabel. Fazit - das Gerät tut was es tun soll, hat leider Defizite was die Sicherheit und den Lebensmittelstandart (solange man die Folienreste nicht sorgfälltig und pingelig selbst entfernt) angeht. Da der Dehydrator was das Material (alles Edelstahl) und den Aufbau (Heizelement und Trockenkammer getrennt) angeht jedoch konkurenzlos gut ist, würde ich ihn trotz der relativ ernüchternden Bewertung wieder kaufen, bis der Markt etwas besseres bietet. Ergänzung 2016 - nachdem das Geärt nun die zweite Saison im Gebrauch ist und sehr sehr viel genutzt wird, habe ich die Bewertung von zwei Sternen (vor allem wegen der zum Teil gefährlich scharfen Kanten) auf 4 Sterne geändert. Grund dafür, während der Obsternte läuft das Gerät hier über Wochen 24h am Tag und das ansolut zufriedenstellend ohne jedes Problem. Alle Teile lassen sich aufgrund des modularen aufbaus sehr gut reinigen und sind sehr robust. Wünschenswert wäre das der Hersteller die scharfen Blechkanten inzwischen entschärft. Dann hätte der Fruit Jerky Pro die vollen 5 Sterne verdient. Ich werde auf jeden Fall für die nächste Obstsaison einen Zweiten kaufen und kann den Fruit Jerky Pro auf jedem der ein professionelles Dörrgerät sucht empfehlen.

Positive 2 - the device is as good as free of plastic (except for the recessed grips) and completely odorless and tasteless. Negative 1 - the device does not meet even minimal security requirements in any way. A sticker does point out the dangerously sharp edges, but countless edges that have not been deburred and are therefore sometimes razor-sharp are not really acceptable. Also and especially not with a device in this price range. Negative 2 - there are plenty of remnants of the protective film in hard-to-reach corners on the holding rails of the drying grids, which protects the stainless steel from scratches during production. You have to laboriously pop off the leftover foil. If you don't do that, the first dry runs will certainly taste like plastic. Foil residue in a device that gets hot and is used to process food is unacceptable to me. Conclusion - the device does what it is supposed to do, but unfortunately has deficits in terms of safety and the food standard (as long as you do not carefully and fussily remove the film residue yourself). Since the dehydrator is unrivaled in terms of material (all stainless steel) and construction (separate heating element and drying chamber), I would buy it again, despite the relatively sobering rating, until the market offers something better. Supplement 2016 - now that the device is in use for the second season and is being used a lot, I have changed the rating from two stars (mainly because of the sometimes dangerously sharp edges) to 4 stars. The reason for this is that during the fruit harvest, the device runs 24 hours a day for weeks and that absolutely satisfactorily without any problems. Due to the modular design, all parts can be cleaned very easily and are very robust. It would be desirable if the manufacturer had softened the sharp metal edges in the meantime. Then the Fruit Jerky Pro would have earned the full 5 stars. I will definitely be buying a second one for next fruit season and would recommend the Fruit Jerky Pro to anyone looking for a professional dehydrator.
