Whether you are a beginner or an experienced hobby brewer, the Klarstein Maischfest mash kettle provides a simple 5-piece complete package for preparing home-made beer. Up to 28 litres of brewing liquid can be boiled in the large double-walled stainless steel kettle. A clear control panel with LCD display allows you to easily set temperature, cooking time and performance. Two power levels are available - 1500 watts to keep warm and 3000 watts to boil the mash. The LCD display always shows the precise temperature in the boiler.

The range of accessories of the Klarstein Maischfest beer brewing system is particularly practical and helps in the process several ways: the filter insert and the drip ring make it very easy to remove the spent grains without any beer losses from the wort. The cooling coil also cools down the mash at lightning speed - the mash can even be water-cooled thanks to the hollow tube. With the drain tap, the transfer to the fermentation tank is a breeze. All parts are made of 304 stainless steel. As a result, no metal flavours get into the beer and after use, the parts can be easily cleaned.

Ich habe mir wirklich lange Gedanken für mein Setup gemacht und mich dann bewusst für dieses Gerät ohne Umwälzung entschieden (selbst rühren fühlt sich mehr nach Handarbeit an). Nach nun 3 Monaten in meinem Besitz und einigen Brautagen, bin ich wirklich zufrieden mit dem Gerät. Wenn man sorgfältig arbeitet, dann brennt nichts an. Die Temperaturen werden schnell erreicht und gut gehalten. Ich habe immer wieder mit einem separaten Thermometer nachgemessen und konnte keine großen Abweichungen zur internen Temperatur Anzeige feststellen. Insgesamt ist das Gerät ganz gut verarbeitet. Es gab bei mir auch noch keinen Ausfall durch Überhitzung. Die Reinigung klappt gut und ist recht einfach. Ich kann das Gerät nur jedem empfehlen. Prost

I really thought long and hard about my setup and then consciously decided on this device without circulation (even stirring feels more like manual work). After 3 months in my possession and a few brewing days, I am really satisfied with the device. If you work carefully, nothing burns. Temperatures are reached quickly and maintained well. I have repeatedly measured with a separate thermometer and could not find any major deviations from the internal temperature display. Overall, the device is very well made. I've never had a failure due to overheating. Cleaning works well and is quite easy. I can only recommend the device to everyone. Bottom up

Bin zunächst einmal positv überrascht von dem Gärkessel. Die Verarbeitung ist super und der Kessel wirkt sehr hochwertig! Der Deckel sitzt perfekt und Luftdicht auf. Die "Schnallen" spannen den Deckel fest auf den Kessel, sodass alles dicht sitzt. Das Gärröhrchen funktioniert ebenfalls super. Durch das Material ist die Reinigung kinderleicht und in wenigen Minuten erledigt. Zudem ist Edelstahl perfekt geeignet um Geschmacksneutral zu gären. Nun ein paar kleine Kritikpunkte welche noch verbesserungswürdig sind. - keine genaue Skala im Kessel, lediglich eine "Max" Markierung - der Ablasshahn könnte durchaus 2 cm tiefer sitzen, da doch eine große Menge (geschätzt 4-5L) übrig bleibt. Hier muss man gegen Ende des Ablassens den Kessel kippen und so wird die Hefe aufgewirbelt und Teile gelangen mit in die Flaschen. Von mir trotzdem eine Kaufempfehlung, da hier der Preis sehr gut zur Qualität passt!

First of all, I am positively surprised by the fermentation kettle. The workmanship is great and the boiler looks very high quality! The lid fits perfectly and is airtight. The "buckles" clamp the lid tightly onto the kettle so that everything is tight. The fermentation tube also works great. The material makes cleaning very easy and takes just a few minutes. In addition, stainless steel is perfectly suited to fermenting taste-neutral. Now a few small points of criticism which are still in need of improvement. - no exact scale in the boiler, just a "Max" mark - the drain cock could well be 2 cm lower, since a large amount (estimated 4-5L) remains. Here you have to tilt the kettle towards the end of the draining, so the yeast is stirred up and parts get into the bottles. I still recommend buying it, because the price goes very well with the quality!

The Klarstein maischkessel (I bought the 30l) is a step up from using a stove and cooking pot. You can make 25 litre batches easily and the settings are simple. Just a few buttons and switches and you are away. The draw to this particular model is that it comes with a cooling coil unlike most other kettles on the market in the same price range. You can potentially buy a pump to circulate the beer by yourself and have a good set. Pros: Chilling coil. Simple. Cheap (for beginners). Stainless steel construction. Cons: The cooling coil doesn't come with pipes or any instructions about diameter so i had to take a trip to the hardware store and buy what i needed (i was lucky they fit). This model has a tendency to overheat. The temperature sensor in the bottom either isn't very accurate, it's in a bad position, or the software allows too much leeway on the temperature. Do not leave the lid on and set to 100 degrees at 3000W or you can expect either a burnt bottom plate or wort to spray your ceiling (not joking). The boil is too violent. Now i set mine at 1500W and set the temperature at 98 knowing it will overshoot. The other issue is the mash bucket that you can place on top for sparging. It is poorly constructed. The legs welded to the bottom are just twists of metal that feel ready to break off or buckle under the weight. The handle to lift the bucket out of the kettle has protruding ends that will tear any brew in a bag you use (I bought the Klarstein one that only later 2 uses). Finally, it is impossible to lift and place on the supplied lid without help when there's hot wort dropping out of it. Don't even think about doing it alone! However, all in all the kettle seems to work ok. Even in the lower power setting, you can expect to clean wort stuck to it, which is a pain. Although, it shouldn't be burnt on. However some internet forums showcase people less fortunate than me with this model. I have yet to take the beer that was brewed in this kettle but I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully, I won't need to upgrade too soon, but there are some quirks I would like to overcome.

Zunächst einmal, blitzartige Lieferung. Was sich mir jedoch nie erschliessen wird, ist warum ein stabiler Karton noch einmal in einen weiteren Karton verpackt werden muss...Beim Auspacken bereits beeindruckt von der Verarbeitungsqualität und dem Finish des Gerätes. Das setzt sich bei der Inbetriebnahme fort. Einfache Programmierung der Heizung, dank zweier Heizstufen auch schnelles Aufheizen und sicheres Halten der programmierten Temperatur. Die Schalthysterese der Heizung könnte für meine Anwendung etwas enger sein, aber für das Bierbrauen ist diese sicher optimal. Mein Fazit, guter, Preisgünstiger Braukessel, ich würde ihn wieder kaufen. Sie sollten sich allerdings zusätzlich ein Rührwerk gönnen, wir haben teilweise vier Rasten von 45- 60 minuten, da wird der Arm schnell lahm, wenn Sie das mit dem Braupaddel rühren wollen.

First off, lightning fast delivery. What I will never understand, however, is why a sturdy box has to be packed into another box... When unpacking, I was already impressed by the build quality and the finish of the device. This continues during commissioning. Simple programming of the heating, thanks to two heating levels also quick heating and reliable maintenance of the programmed temperature. The switching hysteresis of the heating could be a bit tighter for my application, but it is definitely optimal for beer brewing. My conclusion, good, inexpensive brew kettle, I would buy it again. However, you should also treat yourself to an agitator, we sometimes have four breaks of 45-60 minutes, so your arm quickly becomes lame if you want to stir it with the brewing paddle.

Habe erst einmal gebraut, bin aber zufrieden. Wenn man allerdings den Maischebottich zum Abmeischen herauszieht, muss man sich auf bis zu 15kg Gewicht einstellen. Deshalb den Maischfest Boiler besser etwas niedriger aufstellen, dann gehts einfacher. Der Temperaturfühler sitzt unten am Boden des Gerätes, deshalb wähle ich immer 2-3 Grad höhere Temperaturen aus, damit ich die gewünschte Temperatur auch etwas weiter oben im Bottich habe. Reinigung war einfach, etwas Spülmittel und klares Wasser. Ich würde den Kessel nicht mit einem Topfschwamm schrubben, der verkratzt nur die Oberfläche und der Dreck bleibt dadurch noch besser haften. Muss auch nicht desinfiziert werden, der Biersud wird ja sowieso darin gekocht - das überlebt kein Keim und keine Bakterie.

I've only brewed once, but I'm satisfied. However, if you pull out the mash tun for mashing, you have to adjust to a weight of up to 15kg. Therefore, it is better to set up the Maischfest boiler a little lower, then it will be easier. The temperature sensor is at the bottom of the device, so I always choose temperatures that are 2-3 degrees higher so that I have the desired temperature a little further up in the vat. Cleaning was easy, some dish soap and clear water. I wouldn't scrub the kettle with a scouring pad, it just scratches the surface and makes the dirt stick even better. Doesn't have to be disinfected either, the beer brew is boiled in it anyway - no germ or bacterium survives that.

Bisher zwei mal mit dem Maischekessel gebraut. Gute Verarbeitung und heizt auf der 3000 Watt auch große Mengen Wasser/Sud sehr schnell auf die Zieltemperatur. Mit etwas Übung weiß man, dass man den Kessel 2 Grad höher stellen muss, um eine gute dauernde Kochtemperatur zu erreichen. Nach jetzt ca. 10 Brauvorgängen mit unterschiedlichen Malzarten und Biersorten kann ich nur empfehlen, sich nicht auf den Temperatursensor im Kessel zu verlassen. Die Temperatur im Maischekorb weicht von der Temperatur außerhalb des Korbs am Boden des Gerätes deutlich ab, teilweise mehr als 5 Grad Celsius. Um die Rasten zu treffen, auf jeden Fall noch ein Messgerät (oder Fleischtermometer) anschaffen, um die Temperatur in der Maische zu messen.

Brewed twice with the mash kettle so far. Good workmanship and, on the 3000 watt, also heats up large quantities of water/brew very quickly to the target temperature. With a little practice you will know that you have to set the kettle 2 degrees higher to achieve a good, constant cooking temperature. After about 10 brewing processes with different types of malt and beer, I can only recommend not relying on the temperature sensor in the boiler. The temperature in the mash basket differs significantly from the temperature outside the basket on the bottom of the device, sometimes more than 5 degrees Celsius. In order to hit the notches, definitely buy a measuring device (or meat thermometer) to measure the temperature in the mash.

Die Produktseite ist etwas unübersichtlich.. aber: der 30L Gärkessel OHNE irgendwelche Touch- und Heizfunktion macht genau das, was er soll: Man kann in ihm Getränke wie Bier gären lassen und am Ende über den Ablasshahn entnehmen. Da der Hahn ca 5 cm oberhalb des Bodens angebracht ist, wird der Bodensatz an Hefe auch nicht mit abgefüllt. P/L ist schon okay.

The product page is a bit confusing.. but: the 30L fermentation kettle WITHOUT any touch and heating function does exactly what it is supposed to do: you can ferment drinks like beer in it and then remove them via the drain tap. Since the tap is installed about 5 cm above the bottom, the yeast deposit is not bottled with it. P/L is okay.
