Whether you are a first-time winemaker or an experienced hobby brewer, the Klarstein Gärkeller Pro Fermenting Kettle is a great place to ferment and turn barley or fruit juice into beer or wine in an airtight container. Up to 15 litres of brew can mature in the large stainless steel kettle at leisure.

With a blow-out spout, built-in drain tap and thermostat included, beer and wine lovers will find everything they need for home-made delicacies. Draining the yeast or must is conveniently done with a separate drain valve at the lowest point of the kettle. Beim Auspacken fällt zunächst auf, aus wie wenig Teilen der Gärbehälter besteht. Der Tank ist im Grunde aus einem Stück und hat damit wenige Stellen, an denen sich Dreck festsetzen könnte oder die undicht werden könnten. Positiv fällt außerdem auf, dass alle aufschraubbaren Teile Standardmaße haben, sodass diese auch leicht ersetzt werden können. Der Deckel sitzt fest und alles ist dicht. Alles in allem bin ich positiv überrascht und kann den Gärbehälter nur weiterempfehlen.

When you unpack it, the first thing you notice is how few parts the fermentation container consists of. The tank is essentially made of one piece and therefore has few places where dirt could get stuck or which could leak. Another positive thing is that all screw-on parts have standard dimensions, so they can be easily replaced. The lid is tight and everything is tight. All in all, I am pleasantly surprised and can only recommend the fermenter.

so ist das Gerät An sich eher klein, aber es passt wirklich sehr viel hinein. Muss man noch aufbauen, dass ging aber schnell. die Verarbeitung ist gut und hochwertig gemacht. ich denke daher, dass wenn man es gut behandelt auch lange dran seine Freude hat. Die Zutaten muss man noch extra kaufen, aber das ist ja auch klar. so funktioniert es gut und es wird auch gut beschrieben. mich hat es so überzeugt. und auch das Bier ist uns gut gelungen.

The device itself is rather small, but it really fits a lot. You still have to set it up, but it was quick. the workmanship is good and of high quality. I therefore think that if you treat it well, you will enjoy it for a long time. You still have to buy the ingredients separately, but that’s clear. So it works well and it is also well described. I was so convinced by it. and we also did a good job with the beer.

Der Gärkessel ist sauber verarbeitet und ist schon in Gebrauch. Die Verlängerungsteile der Füße machen einen etwas gagliegen Eindruck und bei 3/4 Belastung wackelt der Kessel schon. Werde wohl das Teil auf eine feste Grundplatte befestigen.

The fermentation kettle is cleanly processed and is already in use. The extension parts of the feet seem a bit sloppy and the kettle wobbles at 3/4 load. I will probably attach the part to a solid base plate.

Sauber verarbeitet, funktional und durchdacht - unsere Erwartungen wurden übertroffen. Wir hatten etwas bedenken hinsichtlich Qualität, da die Klarstein Produkte wohl in Asien produziert werden und einige Qualitätsschwankungen haben sollen. Unser Gärtank war einwandfrei. Tatsächlich waren wir positiv überrascht von der durchdachten Konstruktion, die auf den Fotos teilweise nicht so gut rüberkommt. Es wird für den innenliegenden Ablauf noch ein rechtwinkliger Edelstahl-Aufsteckaufsatz mitgeliefert. Dieser kann z.B. mit einem desinfizierten Esslöffel am Ende beim Abfüllen sukzessive nach unten gedreht werden, sodass das Jungbier bis kurz vor dem Hefe-Sediment abgezogen werden kann (weniger Sediment in den Flaschen und weniger Jungbier-Verlust). Die konische Form am Boden ist natürlich dabei nicht weniger hilfreich. Auch der Gärverschluss hat noch eine zusätzliche, innenliegende Kunststoffkappe, die zwar für Gase durchlässig, aber keine Fliegen, o.ä. ins Jungbier lassen. In Kombination mit dem Deckel des Gärverschluss hat man einen doppelten Schutz. Das Thermometer arbeitet aus unserer Sicht einigermaßen genau. Wir haben bislang mit einer Standard Edelstahl Gärkanne gearbeitet und sind mit dem Upgrade auf den Klarstein Gärtank vollends zufrieden: + Kein Bierheber mehr erforderlich + Weniger Sediment in den Flaschen + Deutlich weniger Verlust (konische Form, besserer Abzug über dem Sediment) + Leichter zu reinigen (Form, größere Öffnung) + Eingebautes Thermometer + Gärverschluss besser geschützt Und nicht zuletzt sieht das Teil einfach noch ein Stücken besser aus. ;-) Kaufempfehlung!

Cleanly processed, functional and well thought out - our expectations were exceeded. We had some concerns about quality, as the Klarstein products are probably produced in Asia and are said to have some quality fluctuations. Our fermentation tank was perfect. In fact, we were pleasantly surprised by the well thought-out construction, which sometimes doesn't come across so well in the photos. A rectangular stainless steel attachment is also included for the internal drain. This can, for example, be gradually turned downwards at the end of bottling using a disinfected tablespoon, so that the young beer can be drawn off until just before the yeast sediment (less sediment in the bottles and less loss of young beer). The conical shape at the bottom is of course no less helpful. The fermentation cap also has an additional, internal plastic cap, which is permeable to gases but does not allow flies, etc. into the young beer. In combination with the fermentation cap lid you have double protection. In our opinion, the thermometer works reasonably accurately. We have previously worked with a standard stainless steel fermentation can and are completely satisfied with the upgrade to the Klarstein fermentation tank: + No beer lifter required + Less sediment in the bottles + Significantly less loss (conical shape, better extraction over the sediment) + Easier to clean (Shape, larger opening) + Built-in thermometer + Fermentation cap better protected And last but not least, the part just looks a bit better. ;-) Buy recommendation!

Sehr tolles Produkt bei dem das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis absolut i.O. ist. Das einzigste was ich nachträglich noch bestellte habe ist ein weiteres Termometer, damit der Kessel nicht nur für die Fermentierung sondern auch während eines Brauvorgangs mit heißen Flüssigkeiten verwendet werden kann. - Sonst -> Super Kessel!

Very great product where the price/performance ratio is absolutely OK. The only thing I subsequently ordered is another thermometer so that the kettle can be used not only for fermentation but also during a brewing process with hot liquids. - Otherwise -> Great boiler!

Im Grunde handelt es sich hier um einen sehr formschönen Behälter aus hochwertigem Edelstahl mit Thermometer und Ablassventil, der sich luftdicht verschließen lässt. Aber auch nur im Grunde, denn eigentlich ist dieser Maischekessel sehr viel mehr, da er die heimische Küche, Hobbykeller oder Speisekammer in eine Brauerei verwandelt. Ich ziehe diese "analoge" Variante der vollautomatischen Bierbrauanlage vor, da ich so wirklich alle Schritte beeinflussen und überwachen kann. Man muss sich jedoch auch mehr mit der Materie auseinandersetzen, es wird nicht umsonst Brauerei"kunst" genannt. Sehr praktisch ist die konische Form, da sich so unten am Boden die Hefe sammelt. Das Thermometer ist - soweit ich das beurteilen kann - auch präzise und die Möglichkeit den Druck über das Fermentierröhrchen auszugleichen, ohne den Deckel zu öffnen ist auch sehr hilfreich. Alles in allem bin ich zufrieden mit dem Kessel!

Basically, this is a very attractive container made of high-quality stainless steel with a thermometer and drain valve that can be sealed airtight. But only in principle, because this mash kettle is actually much more, as it transforms the home kitchen, hobby cellar or pantry into a brewery. I prefer this "analog" version of the fully automatic beer brewing system because I can really influence and monitor all steps. However, you also have to think more deeply about the matter; it's not called brewery "art" for nothing. The conical shape is very practical as the yeast collects at the bottom. The thermometer is - as far as I can tell - precise and the ability to equalize the pressure across the fermentation tube without opening the lid is also very helpful. All in all, I'm happy with the kettle!
