Der Ölradiator kam in einem nicht zu großen Karton, etwas schlecht gesichert. Hier hätte es durchaus zu Schäden kommen können, was in meinem Fall aber nicht an dem war. Nach dem auspacken, müssen noch die Räder montiert werden, danach ist der Radiator sofort einsatzbereit. Das Retrodesign ist natürlich nicht jedermanns Geschmack, wir finden ihn super. Die Anleitung ist kurz und verständlich geschrieben. Viel gibt es auch nicht zu beachten. Es gibt 2 Bedienelemente am Gerät. Der Regler für das Thermostat und der Funktionwahlschalter, mit welchem man eine der drei Stufen (800W, 1200W und 2000W) auswählen kann. Wir nutzen den Radiator in einem ca. 7m² großen Raum. Diesen sollte er auf ca. 24° halten. Also eingeschaltet auf Stufe 1 und Thermostat auf Maximal, wie in der Anleitung beschrieben. Nun tauchte das erste Problem auf. Denn man soll das Thermostat runter drehen, wenn der Raum die gewünschte Temperatur hat. Hierzu benötigt man aber ein externes Thermometer, denn am Radiator selber gibt es keinerlei Anzeige. Wir haben dann gewartet, bis laut unserem Thermometer die Raumtemperatur 24° erreicht hatte. Nun drehten wir wie beschrieben, das Thermostat so weit runter, dass das Gerät nicht ausschaltete. Jetzt sollte das Gerät wieder einschalten, wenn die Temperatur unter den eingestellten Wert fällt. Welcher eingestellte Wert? Keine Ahnung, man kann ja nur vermuten, da es keine Anzeige gibt...Retro halt. Wir nutzen den Radiator nun an einer Steckdose mit Thermostat, welches wir auf 24° einstellen. Das Thermostat am gerät selber, lassen wir auf maximum. Nun schaltet der Radiator bei der richtigen Temperatur aus und bei unterschreiten auch wieder an. Schade, hätte man trotz Retro Look anders und besser lösen können. Die Heizleistung empfinden wir hingegen als gut und ausreichend. Der Raum ist auf Stufe 1 innerhalb von ca. 30 Minuten auf den 24°, bei einer Ausgangsinnentemperatur von 18-19° und einer Außentemperatur von durchschnittlich 10-15°. Der Stromverbrauch lag mit dieser Einstellung jetzt im April bei ca. 90kWh bei täglicher Nutzung von ca. 12 Stunden. Das ist allemal weniger, als mit einem anderen elektrischen Heigerät wie Infrarot Heizlüfter etc. Achtung, der Radiator wird an den Heizrippen super heiß. Kinder sollten auf jeden Fall vom Gerät fern gehalten werden. Die Heizung kann per Griff getragen, oder ganz leicht gerollt werden. Das tragen per Griff ist etwas unbequem gelöst, wo wir aber wieder beim Retro Style wären. Es war eben damals nicht alles bequem. Das Kabel kann auf einem am gerät befestigten Kabelaufwickler aufgewickelt werden. Dieser ist in Chrom-Optik gehalten, ist aber eigentlich Kunststoff. Alles in allem eine schöne, kompakte Retro Heizung mit ausreichender Heizleistung für kleine Räume, selbst auf niedrigster Stufe. Das Thermostat bringt aber unserer Meinung nach nichts, da man es nicht vernünftig einstellen kann. Wir sind zufrieden.
The oil radiator came in a box that wasn't too big and was a bit poorly secured. There could have been damage here, but that wasn't the case in my case. After unpacking, the wheels still have to be mounted, after which the radiator is immediately ready for use. Of course, the retro design is not to everyone's taste, we think it's great. The instructions are short and easy to understand. There is also not much to consider. There are 2 controls on the device. The controller for the thermostat and the function selector switch with which you can select one of the three levels (800W, 1200W and 2000W). We use the radiator in a room of about 7m². He should keep this at about 24°. So switched on at level 1 and thermostat at maximum, as described in the instructions. Now the first problem appeared. Because you should turn the thermostat down when the room has the desired temperature. You need an external thermometer for this, because there is no display on the radiator itself. We then waited until, according to our thermometer, the room temperature had reached 24°. Now, as described, we turned the thermostat down so far that the device did not switch off. Now the device should turn on again when the temperature falls below the set value. Which set value? I have no idea, one can only guess, since there is no ad... just retro. We now use the radiator on a socket with a thermostat, which we set to 24°. We leave the thermostat on the device itself at maximum. Now the radiator switches off at the right temperature and switches on again when it falls below. Too bad, it could have been solved differently and better despite the retro look. On the other hand, we find the heat output to be good and sufficient. At level 1, the room is at 24° within approx. 30 minutes, with an initial internal temperature of 18-19° and an average outside temperature of 10-15°. With this setting, the power consumption in April was approx. 90kWh with daily use of approx. 12 hours. This is always less than with other electrical heating devices such as infrared fan heaters etc. Attention, the radiator gets super hot on the heating fins. Children should always be kept away from the device. The heater can be carried by the handle or easily rolled. Carrying it with the handle is a bit uncomfortable, but that brings us back to the retro style. It wasn't all easy back then. The cable can be wound up on a cable winder attached to the device. This has a chrome look, but is actually plastic. All in all a nice, compact retro heater with sufficient heat output for small rooms, even on the lowest level. In our opinion, the thermostat is of no use, since it cannot be set properly. We are satisfied.
