Le toit bitumé est très efficace pour rendre cette mangeoire résistante aux intempéries. Le nourrissage est facile, on remplit derrière le petit plexiglas et la nourriture descend au fur et à mesure que les écureuils (ou autres ;)) mangent. En service en extérieur depuis 3 ans, ce produit est resté en parfait état. Je recommande !

Die Verpackung war leider unzureichend (kein Füllmaterial), denn das Futterhäuschen rutschte in der Verpackung hin und her und beim Auspacken stellten wir fest, dass die Plexiglasscheibe bereits zerbrochen war. Der Rückversand war uns zu aufwendig, weshalb wir uns selbst eine neue Scheibe zugeschnitten haben. Zudem stellen wir immer wieder fest, dass das Dach des Häuschens immer wieder ab Holz festklebt (bei Minusgraden), sodass das Eichhörnchen gar nicht ans Futter kommt. Hier klemmen wir nun immer einen Abstandshalter dazwischen. Insgesamt also nette Idee, aber nicht wirklich gut gemacht.

Unfortunately, the packaging was inadequate (no filling material) because the bird feeder slipped back and forth in the packaging and when we unpacked it we found that the plexiglass pane was already broken. The return shipping was too expensive for us, which is why we cut a new pane ourselves. We also notice again and again that the roof of the little house sticks to the wood (when the temperature is below zero) so that the squirrels can't even get their food. Here we always clamp a spacer in between. So overall nice idea but not really well done.

An sich sieht das Häuschen sehr schön aus wirkt aber auch recht billig. Die Verarbeitung ist auch nicht optimal das zwischen den Teilen Luft ist und diese anscheinend nicht richtig verleimt sind. Ich habe es jetzt 4 Monate bei uns hängen und bis jetzt hält es und sieht auch immer noch ganz gut aus. Trotzdem würde ich beim nächsten mal vermutlich etwas mehr Geld in die Hand nehmen und ein anderes kaufen.

Unsere Eichhörnchen lieben das Futterhaus! Bereits nach 2 Tagen haben sie es gefunden und noch am selben Tag leer geräumt. Gerade im Winter ist es wichtig, Eichhörnchen bei der Nahrungssuche zu unterstützen, da sie sich nur bei ausreichender Beute paaren. Was soll ich sagen? Mit Hilfe dieser magischen Futterstelle konnten wir zum ersten Mal live vor unserer Haustüre den "Paarungstanz" der Eichhörnchen beobachten. Die gesamte Familie freut sich, nächstes Jahr eine ganze Eichhörnchenfamilie füttern zu dürfen:)))

Das Futterhaus ging schnell am Baum zu befestigen, allerdings wackelte es bei mir, so dass ich von unten einen kleinen Winkel zum Halt geben gegen geschraubt habe, das ging schnell und einfach... Jetzt sitzt es bombenfest und wurde gleich am nächsten Tag zahlreich besucht. Das Häuschen hielt sogar einem Buntspecht Besuch stand und ist tadellos verarbeitet und hübsch anzusehen. Ich bin begeistert und die vielen Eichhörnchen sicherlich auch. Das Futter blieb selbst bei Starkregen trocken.

Now it's firmly in place and was visited by numerous people the very next day . The house even withstood a visit from a great spotted woodpecker and is immaculately finished and pretty to look at. I am thrilled and the many squirrels are certainly too. The forage stayed dry even in heavy rain.

à la réception, le toit ne tenait plus. il avait été collé et fixé par des pointes avant de recouvrir avec une sorte de toit bitumé, donc impossible de le remettre tel quel. j'ai simplement couper les pointes qui dépassaient puis recollé, ça tenait ensuite. outre ce petit désagrément, la mangeoire est plutôt sympa. on peut l'accrocher, nous avons fait le choix de la caler entre les troncs de notre grand noisetier. nous y avons mis quelques noisettes en espérant faire venir les écureuils...

Ayant un noyer, je pense que les écureuils doivent venir. J’en ai déjà aperçu mais je l’avoue très rarement. Mais j’ai quand même réussi à en photographier un avec une noix dans les pattes. Je laisse toujours des fruits pour les animaux et bien évidement des noix pour les écureuils. Mais elles tombent au sol et certaines finissent écraser sous les pieds. Avec cette mangeoire, je vais pouvoir mettre des noix bien à l’abri pour eux et tout simplement en l’installant dans le noyer vu qu’ils y viennent déjà. Je vais juste leur facilité la vie en mettant une récolte propre et sèche à leur disposition. Maintenant, je sais que les loirs viennent aussi prendre les noix. Ils viennent de me siffler les ¾ de ma récolte que j’avais mis dans la grange… Enfin, l’essentiel est que les noix profitent à un animal.

Je trouve cette mangeoire pour écureuil joliment faite. Un plexiglass permet d’avoir toujours à vue le niveau de nourriture présent dans le compartiment. Pour la fixer, j’ai préféré mettre une vis qui traverse le fond de la mangeoire, car la rainure ou l’on doit normalement faire glisser la tête de vis (Vis non fournie) ne m’inspirait pas confiance, d’autant plus que le bois est très tendre… J’ai également percé 3 trous dans la planche du fond pour éviter à l’eau de trop stagner lorsque la pluie rentre dedans. Cela crée également un passage d’air utile pour ventiler le fond en période humide. Attention : Je vous conseille de bien réfléchir à l’endroit où vous aller positionner cette mangeoire, qui va habituer les écureuils à venir chercher leur nourriture à cet endroit. Sachant que les écureuils aiment bien planquer la nourriture qu’ils trouvent, pour la manger plus tard ou dans un endroit plus sécurisant pour eux, évitez donc de mettre cette mangeoire à proximité du stationnement de votre véhicule, En effet, ils affectionnent particulièrement les compartiments moteur, avec le risque qu’ils dégradent les faisceaux électriques. L'hiver est une période difficile pour les oiseaux mais aussi pour les petits rongeurs. Or les écureuils n’hibernent pas. Tous les matins, Nestor, l'écureuil roux à grande queue du quartier, vient nous rendre visite et récupérer les graines de tournesol et les cacahouètes présentes dans les mangeoires à oiseaux, que j'approvisionne chaque jour et tout au long de l'année. Il est intéressant de savoir qu'octobre est le mois des écureuils ! En effet, à partir de ce mois, est venu le temps des récoltes pour préparer l'hiver ..... On peut les aider en installant une mangeoire – de préférence en bois brut – fixée sur un arbre, à une hauteur minimum de 2 mètres, et éloignée des mangeoires à oiseaux. L'idéal est de remplir la mangeoire avec des graines, des noix ou encore des morceaux de fruits et légumes. J'ai opté, pour ma part, pour des mélanges tout prêts que j'ai trouvés et commandés sur le site d'Amazon. Cette mangeoire est esthétiquement super belle. Elle a la forme d'une petite maisonnette avec une toiture, à deux pans, recouverte d'un feutre étanche (celui que l'on utilise pour les abris de jardin). Quant à la partie qui va recevoir les graines, elle est protégée des intempéries par une vitre en plexiglass qui permet également de savoir où en sont les réserves et s'il est temps de réapprovisionner la mangeoire ! Je conseille d'y faire quelques petits trous dans le fond pour permettre à l'humidité ou à l'eau qui pourrait s'y infiltrer de s'évacuer plus facilement ..... L'avancée de toit de 2 cm aurait méritée d'être plus profonde, je pense ! A l'avant, une petite « terrasse » (16,8 cm de large pour 12,8 de profondeur), aux bords arrondis, permet à l'écureuil de se poser, d'observer et d'envisager la stratégie à adopter pour récupérer les graines mais aussi de manger sans s'éloigner de ce fast-food ! Par contre, ce système de stockage a un inconvénient, c'est qu'il n'empêche pas d'autres rongeurs de venir se nourrir (mulots, souris notamment) ..... Donc, pour ma part, j'ai décidé de la garder suffisamment éloignée de la maison pour éviter que les rongeurs indésirables viennent nicher chez nous ! Au vu du poids de la mangeoire (1320 g à vide), et du fait qu'elle est destinée à être fixée avec une seule vis à l'arrière, il faut veiller à que cette fixation soit solide. Je pense que Nestor devrait être content d'avoir sa propre mangeoire qu'il n'aura plus à partager avec ses amies les mésanges et chardonnerets ! C'est une belle réalisation, aux finitions soignées que je recommande à tous les amoureux de ces petites bébêtes ! Personnellement, je suis enchantée d'avoir pu me la commander. Malgré tout, l'avancée de toit quasi-inexistant lui fait tout de même perdre 1 étoile à la note maximale !

I recommend making a few small holes in the bottom to allow any moisture or water that could infiltrate there to escape more easily..... The 2 cm roof overhang would have been deserved. to be deeper, I think! At the front, a small “terrace” (16.8 cm wide by 12.8 cm deep), with rounded edges, allows the squirrel to rest, observe and consider the strategy to adopt for collect the seeds but also eat without going far from this fast food! On the other hand, this storage system has a disadvantage, which is that it does not prevent other rodents from coming to feed (field mice, mice in particular)..... Le petit mangeoire est mignon et bien conçu. Aucun problème de casse à l'arrivée. Néanmoins, le toiture a des petits grains qui se sont désolidarisés et trainaient au fond du carton. Résultat, j'en ai mis plein par terre au moment de l'ouverture. Faites donc bien attention. Autrement, la petite vitre en plexi est pratique pour voir le niveau de fruits à coque (noix, avoine, graines de tournesol). Je regrette que le toit ne se prolonge pas un peu plus vers l'avant. A l'arrière on trouve une encoche pour suspendre le mangeoire à un arbre. La qualité est plutôt bonne, l'ensemble est bien emboité et solide. Pour l'instant, je n'en ai encore pas vu se nourrir mais je pense qu'il faut être patient. Je l'ai suspendu avec une échelle à 2 mètres de haut sur un des arbres , soyons patient ! En tout les cas même s'ils ne viennent pas tout de suite, cela ajoute une petite touche déco.

Il fait savoir se montrer patient, on ne voit pas d'écureuil du jour au lendemain. Cela peut prendre quelques semaines avant qu'un acrobate s'y glisse voire plus si elle est située près de la maison. Ajoutez la nourriture (viellez noix, noisettes, glands, tournesol) avant de vous absenter : Ces petites bêtes sont farouches au début, et vous les habituerez ainsi plus facilement à votre jardin. Das Holz ist sehr weich und offenporig. Ich habe es lieber eingeölt. Wirklich lange weiß es wohl nicht halten. Aber für den Preis kann man auch nicht viel erwarten. Wir haben es auf einen Birkenstamm, den wir noch über hatten, geschraubt. Mal sehen ob es den Hörnchen gefällt.

Unser altes Eichhörnchenfutterhaus (vergleichbares Material und Bauweise) musste nun, nach 4 Jahren unter Wind und Wetter, ausgetauscht werden - das als Hinweis zur Haltbarkeit im Außenbereich. Unsere Entscheidung fiel auf das "Skojig Eichhörnchen Futterhaus" und es war eine gute Entscheidung: Der Preis ist absolut fair, das Futterhaus ein kleiner Blickfang! Ein Federmechanismus sorgt dafür, dass der Deckel nach dem Anheben durch das Eichhörnchen wieder automatisch geschlossen wird. Das Holzgehäuse scheint ausreichend stabil, trotzdem haben wir es vor dem Anbringen noch einmal mit farblosem Lack besprüht, um den Wettereinflüssen noch besser entgegen zu steuern. Die praktische Plexiglasscheibe zeigt den Futterstand, ohne das Futterhaus jedes Mal abnehmen zu müssen. Hier könnte man eine etwas dickere Plexiglas-Scheibe einsetzen, was ich dem Hersteller auch schon empfahl. Eine ausreichend große "Standfläche" erleichtert es dem Tier, sein Futter in Ruhe zu genießen. Wir brachten zusätzlich noch einen ca. 40cm langen stabilen, schönen Ast an der Seite an, welcher von dem Eichhörnchen gut angenommen wurde und besonders zum Erreichen des Häuschens genutzt wird (kein Muss !!!). Das kleine "Eichhörnchen-Scherenschnitt-Symbol" an den Seiten des Hauses macht das Ganze nicht nur attraktiver, sondern brachte Freunde und Nachbarn schon zum Schmunzeln. Fazit: Der Kauf war eine gute Entscheidung und dieses Futterhaus ist jederzeit zu empfehlen !!! Unsere kleinen zusätzlichen "Ergänzungen" sind nicht unbedingt nötig - das Futterhaus ist eigentlich sofort für den Einsatz bereit. Bei Einsatz im Außenbereich jedoch, schien uns das angebracht, um die Lebensdauer noch etwas zu erhöhen. Nach dem Anbringen des Hauses gab es schon die ersten neugierigen Blicke der Eichhörnchen, welche dann, schon am zweiten Tag, damit umgingen, als wäre es schon immer da gewesen. FAIRER PREIS, GUTE VERARBEITUNG, VON MENSCH UND TIER GELIEBT - EINFACH NUR EMPFEHLENSWERT !!!

Our old squirrel feeder (comparable material and construction) now had to be replaced after 4 years of exposure to wind and weather - as an indication of durability outdoors. We decided on the "Skojig squirrel feeder" and it was a good decision: the price is absolutely fair, the feeder is a little eye-catcher! A spring mechanism ensures that the lid is automatically closed again after the squirrel has lifted it. The wooden housing seems sufficiently stable, but we sprayed it again with clear paint before attaching it to counteract the weather influences even better. The practical plexiglass pane shows the feed level without having to remove the bird feeder each time. Here you could use a slightly thicker plexiglass pane, which I already recommended to the manufacturer. A sufficiently large "footprint" makes it easier for the animal to enjoy its food in peace. We also attached an approx. 40cm long, stable, beautiful branch to the side, which was well accepted by the squirrel and is used especially to reach the house (not a must !!!). The small "squirrel silhouette symbol" on the sides of the house not only makes the whole thing more attractive, but also made friends and neighbors smile. Conclusion: The purchase was a good decision and this bird feeder can be recommended at any time! Our small additional "supplements" are not absolutely necessary - the bird feeder is actually ready for use immediately. When used outdoors, however, we felt that this was appropriate in order to increase the service life a little. After the house was installed, the squirrels began to look curiously, and on the second day they treated it as if it had always been there. FAIR PRICE, GOOD PROCESSING, LOVED BY PEOPLE AND ANIMALS - SIMPLY RECOMMENDED !!!

Das Haus sieht ganz nett aus. Leider ist die Verarbeitung nicht ganz so toll. Ein Nagel ist krumm hineingeklopft worden und die Kanten einmal abschleifen wäre auch gut gewesen. Ob das Haus wirklich wetterfest ist, wird sich noch herausstellen müssen, da das Holz unbehandelt aussieht. Die Kinder finden es toll und freuen sich schon darauf Eichhörnchen zu beobachten.

The house looks nice. Unfortunately, the processing is not that great. A nail was knocked in crookedly and sanding down the edges would have been good too. It remains to be seen whether the house is really weatherproof, as the wood looks untreated. The children think it's great and look forward to watching squirrels.

Sehr schönes Futterhaus, gut verarbeitet, wurde sehr schnell geliefert ! Bei 100% wetterfest war ich ein bisschen skeptisch und habe das Häuschen mit einer Holzschutzlasur angestrichen .... das Holz war dankbar Ich kann dieses Futterhaus absolut empfehlen. Die Eichhörnchen übrigens auch, denn sie haben es sofort angenommen. Auch das Deckelöffnen beherrschten sie sehr schnell.

Very nice bird feeder, well made, was delivered very quickly! I was a bit skeptical about 100% weatherproof and painted the house with a wood preservative varnish .... the wood was grateful I can absolutely recommend this bird feeder. The squirrels too, by the way, because they accepted it immediately. They also mastered opening the lid very quickly.

Das Eichhörnchen Futterhaus ist sehr gut geeignet. Es ist groß und muss deshalb nicht allzu oft aufgefüllt werden. Das ist besonders praktisch, da ich das Futterhaus relativ weit oben an einem Baum befestigt habe und zum Auffüllen eine Leiter benutzen muss. Die Plexiglasscheibe endet etwas tiefer als das Dach. Im hierdurch entstehenden Spalt kann das Eichhörnchen nicht festklemmen und auch durch diesen zur Entnahme von Nüssen hindurch greifen (ich habe noch nie gesehen, dass ein Eichhörnchen wirklich den Klappdeckel öffnet um an die Nüsse zu gelangen). Allerdings habe ich die Scheibe mittels einer kleinen Schraube in einer höheren Stellung fixiert. Dadurch kommt das Eichhörnchen noch besser an die Nüsse und auch Specht und Kleiber holen sich so ab und an eine Nuss. Das lustige Eichhörnchenbild an der Seite rundet den guten Gesamteindruck noch ab.

The squirrel feeder is very suitable. It's big, so it doesn't need to be refilled very often. This is especially handy as I have the bird feeder attached to a tree relatively high up and have to use a ladder to fill it up. The plexiglass pane ends a little lower than the roof. The squirrel can't get stuck in the resulting gap and can't reach through it to remove nuts (I've never seen a squirrel actually open the hinged lid to get to the nuts). However, I fixed the disc in a higher position with a small screw. This gives the squirrel even better access to the nuts, and woodpeckers and nuthatches also get a nut now and then. The funny squirrel picture on the side completes the good overall impression.
