What may seem at first glance to be a beautiful retro suitcase from the 1950s is actually the new Peggy Sue portable turntable from the Nostalgy by auna series. The device not only plays three different record sizes, it also gives you the possibility of converting the music from your personal favourite records into a compact digital format.
To this end, the device features a rear USB port, with which the LP signal can be easily sent on to a computer - the right connection cable and the necessary software (‘Audacity’) for USB-PC encoding are included. This can also simultaneously power the Nostalgy by auna Peggy Sue turntable. An appropriate USB cable and USB power adapter for connection to AC power is supplied with delivery.
The Nostalgy by auna Peggy Sue record player requires no additional speakers, as the smart case houses two built-in stereo speakers. Nevertheless, the turntable offers the possibility of connecting external speakers or stereo systems via the rear stereo RCA line output.The volume can be infinitely adjusted directly on the device via a rotary control.
A special highlight: the Peggy Sue record player comes in a robust MDF design case with a real wood veneer, fittings in gold look, clip closure and carrying handle. This makes for not only a visually stunning design in a retro look, but allows you to take the record player along with you anywhere - for example, to an atmospheric nostalgia picnic in the garden.

Der Plattenspieler kam sicher verpackt bei mir an. Mit der Tonqualität bin ich auch zufrieden. Wer besseren Klang haben will, sollte ihn an eine Stereoanlage oder Aktivboxen anschließen. Um mal die alten Schallplatten abzuspielen reicht es. Das digitalisieren mit Line-out funktioniert. Bei Aufnahme über USB ist das ankommende Signal viel zu stark und die Aufnahmelautstärke kann nicht reguliert werden.
The turntable arrived safely packaged. I'm also happy with the sound quality. If you want better sound, you should connect it to a stereo system or active speakers. It's enough to play the old records. Digitizing with line-out works. When recording via USB, the incoming signal is far too strong and the recording volume cannot be adjusted.
Das Gerät macht genau das, was es soll - für den Preis prima - ist natürlich kein HighEnd-Plattenspieler. Um ein paar alte Platten aufzulegen, reicht es vollkommen. Mir macht es Spaß.
The device does exactly what it should - great for the price - of course it's not a high-end turntable. It's enough to put on a few old records. I enjoy it.
Mein Onkel ist begeistert von seinem Plattenspieler. Vor allen Dingen weil er wie ein Koffer überall mit zu nehmen ist. Und ihm das Design sehr gut gefällt. Auch der Klang ist für ihn völlig akzeptable.
