Ideally, I was allowed to test the bread box. That suited me quite well since I didn't have any. I like to eat bread and rolls and I always have problems storing them. I love it when the bread stays crispy and doesn't get old and dry. I like to buy uncut bread, usually large round loaves. I had my doubts at first because the whole thing is kept pretty plain and simple. In principle it is a metal box with a wooden board. Nevertheless well processed, the wooden board closes perfectly with the metal box. I also think the black design is very nice and goes well with my toaster. The mill, i.e. the logo on the front, is a bit reminiscent of the "Rügenwalder Mühle" logo ^^ I haven't kept bread rolls in it yet, but I will. The bread fits perfectly in the bread box. I was initially concerned about the size as it came out the right size when ordered. Nevertheless, the size is optimal to get whole loaves of bread or several bread rolls under. And the bread lasts forever... My last loaf was in it for almost three weeks, and it was still soft. There is also no difference in taste regarding the can on the bread. Overall it's a good idea to store the bread in and it does what it's supposed to and what the box promises. But that's why I'm deducting a star, the bread becomes soft, so does the crust on the outside, similar to storing the bread in a plastic bag... This is not for everyone. Even fresh bread after a few hours is no longer like it was at the bakery. The only difference between a plastic bag and a box is that the bread gets better air circulation and doesn't get mouldy. And of course the optics. You can live with the taste, I didn't have a bread box before, so I don't know if there are bread boxes that can keep the crispiness of bread. Nevertheless, the promises of the box are kept and the price is also affordable.
