The set includes a bamboo plate and spoon. The spoon tip of the spoon is made of soft silicone. Likewise the suction cup with which the plate can be attached to the table. The baby plate and spoon are cleanly processed. They feel completely smooth, I couldn't feel any bumps with my hand. I find that very important, especially when the children are still eating with their hands and are therefore constantly reaching into the plate with them. Since the plate is moisture-resistant, it is suitable for soups, purees, or even classic porridge. Likewise, of course, for cucumbers or just a little fruit. I like that the plate is divided into two larger sections. So you can also offer different foods separately from each other. Since the plate and the handle of the spoon are made of bamboo (wood), they are not suitable for the dishwasher! However, they can be cleaned with hot/warm water and washing-up liquid. The suction cup can be removed beforehand, but it took a little longer to attach it again at first. But with patience and a little more routine, it will work faster and faster. For optimal care, the manufacturer recommends oiling the bamboo surface occasionally. For this you can use simple salad oil which you have at home. Unfortunately, I had to find out that the suction cup on the real wood table (waxed) started to loosen over time. It doesn't come off completely, but the plate rises a little and becomes less stable in its grip! On completely smooth surfaces (high-gloss lacquered wood), however, it holds tight as a rock. The manufacturer promises a "strong hold on smooth table surfaces". I think that due to the light wood grain on the surface of the wooden table, more and more air is drawn under the suction cup over time and the vacuum decreases as a result. For children who are no longer hungry and want to push everything away from them or to the side of the table, the fastening method of the plate is only suitable to a limited extent, depending on which table surfaces you have at home. My conclusion: A very well made plate and spoon, which is a very good and sustainable alternative to plastic tableware for children! For love of the material, cleaning in the dishwasher must be avoided. However, this is not a point of criticism for me, as it goes without saying for me not to clean wood in the dishwasher. I'm taking off one star because the suction cup can only be used to a limited extent on surfaces that are not completely smooth. The vacuum decreases over time, causing the plate to loosen a little, but not completely (so far)! Therefore I award 4 stars.
