Some manual skill was required for installation and connection. An initial function test with the quick program (30 minutes!) showed that the Klarstein dishwasher works perfectly. Even an oily frying pan got perfectly clean. Since, according to the manual, the quick program only needs about a third of the energy of the long programs, it is certainly worth it for the daily needs of a single household. It is practical that the cutlery basket can be placed in different positions on the crockery basket. So you are flexible and can accommodate a slightly larger pot or bowl if necessary. The handling works like with other dishwashers, the sieve can be easily removed and cleaned, detergent and rinse aid can be filled in like with my "big" Bosch appliance. That's why I'm going to go into the installation a little more here.: Since I didn't want to set up an ugly free-standing device somewhere as a tabletop device, I bought the fully integrated dishwasher from Klarstein and installed it in a "METOD" kitchen cabinet from IKEA with white fronts ("VEDDINGE") . The following points required some manual skills: • The standard shelf on which the device stands had to be shortened by 3 cm at the back so that I could route the hoses behind it. This is also possible with the installed drawer under the device, since there is still enough "air" behind the drawer. • Since IKEA only offers fronts with a height of 40 or 60 cm, I had to use a 60 cm door from IKEA as the front for the dishwasher and shorten it to approx. 48 cm. The underlying 40 cm front of the drawer had to be shortened accordingly at the top by ~8 cm. • The cut edge was sanded down by hand and painted white 3 times. The window & door paint, white, semi-matt from "Baufix" has almost exactly the same color as the original front. Therefore you can only see the processing if you look with a magnifying glass (see picture with open drawer, the cut edge is the upper edge of the drawer front). • I used the cutting leftovers from the fronts as filler strips to the wall (see pictures). • The drain hose only had an inner diameter of approx. 17 cm at the outlet and did not quite fit the ~21 mm spout of my siphon. So I ordered a narrower spout for the siphon from Amazon. With a little lubricant, the connection worked without any problems. Of course, the hose also stretches a bit. • The supplied hinges are a bit fiddly to install and unfortunately have no adjustment options apart from slotted holes. The dimensions specified according to the installation instructions did not fit properly in my case. My tip: Hold the shortened front on the cupboard without a dishwasher (~2 mm air gap to the cupboard), place the hinges at the correct distance and mark the holes and pre-drill with 1.5 mm. Attention: When the dishwasher is standing, you can only get to the lower screws with a small ratchet or offset screwdriver! • After installing the dishwasher in the cupboard, I proceeded in the same way with attaching the rails, since the dimensions according to the installation instructions didn't really fit here either. Since the black plastic caps on the rails collided slightly with the flap when the flap was fully open, I reworked the plastic a bit with side cutters and a cordless drill at the top until no more collisions took place (see image 3). • Since I wanted the smallest possible opening through the worktop, I ordered a narrower Aquastopp hose. The one in the pictures is not the one supplied, but it certainly fulfills its function otherwise. Since the device works perfectly and can be integrated perfectly and unobtrusively into a single kitchen when fully integrated, I give it 5 points despite the somewhat fiddly installation. That's roughly how I had imagined it as a hobby craftsman ;-). Based on my experience so far, I would buy the device again at any time. Addendum from January 2nd, 2020: According to the first experiences, there are two small disadvantages: - Really large dinner plates (27 cm diameter) do not fit in the dishwasher. The room height is not sufficient for this and the crockery basket would have to be lowered a little. The limit seems to be 25-26cm. - My girlfriend has deep plates without a rim (bowls). These do not find a proper hold in the cutlery basket, since the plates do not properly engage in the lateral retaining straps or in the frame on the floor. The plates then either have to be set at a very slanted angle or they tip over easily. Overall, I'm still very happy with the device.
