►►PREMARK◄◄ For the sake of transparency, I would like to point out in advance that the "Lorea" extractor hood from KLARSTEIN was made available to me free of charge as a review copy and that I have agreed to create an independent and objective review of the device. Here is my experience report: ►PACKAGING / SCOPE OF DELIVERY◄ The extractor hood is neatly packaged and shipped in a large box. Inside the box, the device is still secured with a styrofoam frame and wrapped in plastic film to protect it from damage in transit. In addition to the hood, the scope of delivery includes a two-piece chimney screen, an exhaust air hose, various fastening materials and easy-to-understand assembly and operating instructions in German and English. ►►PRODUCT DESCRIPTION◄◄ The housing of the headless extractor hood is made of black safety glass, similar to the glass on a ceramic hob. Part of the housing is still covered with stainless steel, as well as the two chimney screens. The design looks appealing and fits into many kitchens. Two switchable LED lamps for lighting the hob are integrated on the underside. The easily removable filter plate for the fat is made of aluminum and can be cleaned in the dishwasher if necessary. With an output of max. 65 watts, the device is sensibly set up for its size to extract unpleasant vapors and gases from the hob area. The hood is 60 cm wide, which is the standard. The plastic exhaust hose has a diameter of about 15 cm and can be extended to about 2 meters. When folded, its length is almost 35 cm. If you want to use the hood in recirculation mode, you can also order activated carbon filters. ►FUNCTIONALITY / OPERATION◄ The operation of the device via the five touch field buttons integrated into the safety glass on the front is simple and self-explanatory. You can choose between three extraction levels, in which the blower extracts the air at different rates. The hob lighting can also be switched on and off. There aren't any other functions, so you aren't overloaded with excessive functionality, which I also think is a good thing with an extractor hood. The volume depends on the set extraction level. In my opinion, the volume is "normal". ►ASSEMBLY◄ The device is intended for wall mounting. All the necessary parts for installing the extractor hood are included in the scope of delivery. The holders are mounted on the wall and the hood is hung in them and the exhaust air hose is attached. Then you only need to mount one or two of the chimney screens (depending on the ceiling height) for cladding or, if ordered, insert the active filter. ►PROCESSING / QUALITY◄ The processing of the extractor hood is flawless. The case made of glass and stainless steel has precise gap dimensions and nowhere has defects such as protruding burrs or production residues. The attachments are tight and the control buttons react reasonably. ►SECURITY◄ The extractor hood does not have a safety test seal such as the GS seal or a TÜV seal. There is only a CE mark (no safety test seal, only a mandatory declaration of conformity) on the device, which guarantees a minimum level of safety through compliance with quality and standardization standards. The core message of the CE marking is a declaration by the manufacturer that his product meets the requirements of the EU regulations. According to the manufacturer, the product complies with the following European directives: 2004/108/EG (EMC) [electromagnetic compatibility] 2006/95/EG (LVD) [low voltage] 2011/65/EU (RoHS) ►►CONCLUSION◄◄ All in All in all, an attractive-looking extractor hood with three suction levels that is not overloaded with too many functionalities. The workmanship is flawless and the design is modern and timeless at the same time.
