1. Zeile: Batteriestand und Uhr 2. Zeile: Die Einschaltzeiten (bis zu 3x Täglich) 3. Zeile: Die Bewässerungshäufigkeit (z.B. Täglich, aller 2-Tage usw.) 4. Zeile: Die Bewässerungsdauer in Sekunden.
I am absolutely satisfied with the Blumfeldt Greenkeeper irrigation set, which is why I give it full points. (One star deducted - see also my addendum from Nov.20) I chose this model because, according to the description, it had all the necessary features that I believe are necessary for safe indoor irrigation. I mainly need the set for watering bonsai during those times when I can't take care of the plants myself. Decisive factors in the purchase were, among other things, that the system does not have to be connected to a constantly pressurized water line, the system can be operated both via a built-in rechargeable battery and from a socket, and also has a total of 60 drip heads that are simply plugged into the ground. The control unit also convinced me. The display is easy to read and the entries for programming the watering times are child's play, the display language is English. The display itself has 4 lines. 1st line: Battery status and clock 2nd line: The switch-on times (up to 3x daily) 3rd line: The watering frequency (e.g. daily, every 2 days, etc.) 4th line: The watering duration in seconds. All displays are always visible on the display, both in mains operation and in battery operation. Cool: If the pump is activated via the automatic function, the set display for the watering time changes to a timer that counts down the remaining watering time to 0. The battery indicator itself is divided into a total of 7 bars. In a test in pure battery operation, after a runtime of 30 days with 3xdaily watering of 80 seconds each, there were still two bars left on the battery indicator. The entire system itself is designed in such a way that up to three hose lines of size 7/9mm can be routed from the pump to a maximum of 30 distributors. Up to 2 smaller hoses of size 4/6mm can then be connected to each of the distributors, at the end of which the drippers are located. I assume that by reducing the cross-section it should be ensured that the same amount of water always arrives at all drippers. If not all hose lines or distributors are required, the continuation of the hose system can be stopped at any point using the sealing plugs provided. It is therefore not necessary to use all 60 drippers. For an optimal construction of a water supply line to all my bonsais, I still needed another hose of size 4/6mm. The additional hose required was easy to get at the hardware store. The fact that I personally still needed a hose does not represent a defect in the product itself, the local conditions are just a little different for everyone. To get an idea of the performance of the pump - a dropper delivers about 100ml of water in about 3.5 minutes. Unfortunately, the amount of water on the drippers themselves cannot be regulated. The amount of water supplied must be regulated via the watering time on the control unit and is then the same on all drippers. For plants where a larger volume of soil needs to be watered, I simply use several drippers on one plant. I bought a small storage box for my irrigation system. In this way I have the possibility to stow away the whole system with all its components sensibly until the next vacation. Addendum from Nov.20 From my point of view, the customer service at Blumfeldt is a disaster. Unfortunately, two of the plastic distributors broke when I was dismantling my system. No problem, I thought, and wanted to order these distributors from Blumfeldt for a fee. Completely incomprehensible to me - the manufacturer of the irrigation system is not able to offer spare parts for its products. According to Blumfeldt, there are unfortunately no individual parts that can be offered for sale. It was recommended to me to seek advice from a local specialist retailer. I have done. However, one can well imagine how they would be smiled at when dealers who normally only sell irrigation sets in the original box are now supposed to open these sets in order to be able to sell a customer a spare part they contain. What does the retailer do with the rest of the set that is not for sale??? I now have to see how I can get the defective distributors from somewhere else. That alone isn't so bad - I'm just imagining how annoyed I would be if I had to reorder the control unit... Apparently no customer service can be expected from the manufacturer Blumfeldt. For me, a very poor performance by Blumfeldt, which is why I subsequently deducted a star.
