The Brienz runs on a Japanese motor that operates at under 10 dB — below the threshold of hearing for most people. Rotation direction (clockwise, counter-clockwise, or both) and turns-per-day can be dialled in anywhere between 650 and 2,650 TPD, so you can match the winder precisely to the requirements of each individual movement.
Four rotation programmes cover the full range of automatic calibres: single-direction, reverse, combined, and an extended 12-hour cycle that runs for 3 hours then rests for 9. A switchable blue LED illuminates the interior, turning the Brienz from a functional winder into a proper display piece.
