After I've been sitting in the home office again since October (this year is just more for throwing), and laboring in the living room on the dining table and dining chair is really not a permanent solution (it really gets in the back), I've recently had my own room with (almost) everything you need for decent work. Luckily for my complete home office, the only thing missing was the right acoustic background - so a suitable device had to be brought into the house. I spent what felt like a week looking for the right device, which almost had to be a jack of all trades, because my demands are quite high: The sound and radio reception have to be right, Bluetooth, USB connection, CD, Internet radio and, in the best case, an SD It should have been a slot - the device should also look good and not take up too much space, cost too much or even have too long a delivery time - once you've made your decision, then you'd best want to own the part yesterday to name. With the auna Harvard IR system it was more like love at second sight - before that I had ordered another device, but unfortunately it wasn't the yellow one - so the search started from the new one and I then decided on this sound miracle. I've been enjoying the auna system for 1 week - it really plays all the pieces. The design bw. the look is much prettier in real life than in the pictures, the size fits it perfectly on my window sill - it's extremely advantageous that the USB slot is on the front! The range of functions really plays every bit, almost all my requirements were met - apart from the SD card slot - but I can confidently do without it ;) The device is set up quite quickly, connected to the WiFi using the WPS button and zack you can already use thousands and thousands access from Internet broadcasters. If you want to save your favorites and don't want to zap through each station individually with the remote control, you have the option of registering your device on your own website and can look through the stations there via PC easy-cheesy and mark them as favorites - this is also promptly activated transfer the device -> I like it :) The sound is amazing! Even at low volume, you're knocked out of the office chair and the door doesn't close - the bass is full, the tones are clear - you can use the equalizer to adjust the sound to your individual needs. Only the X-Bass function is a bit disappointing - it makes the sound output duller and has less bass than when the function is switched off - probably a bug. FM reception is rather bad for me - but this is probably due to the construction of my hut and less to the device - but I can receive all my favorite stations via Internet radio anyway. Bluetooth works fine too - the audio when using my smartphone is a bit less impressive than the other media options - at least as far as the tracks stored on my device are concerned - when you stream youtube the whole thing looks very different again. The Harvard system is also perfect as an output device for the PC/laptop via Bluetooth - e.g. in team meetings and similar nonsense - especially when the speakers from the laptop are so weak that you cannot hear the other person in the virtual meeting even at 100% volume understand, that's really helpful. It also plays CDs well - unfortunately it probably doesn't remember in standby which track you last paused on. USB: that works too, but not all titles are played on my grandiose 90s stick (in the car, and with my device in the office that's not a problem) - that's a shame - I hope that can be fixed. Why am I deducting 1 star? Well, in addition to the above-mentioned minor problems with CD and USB playback and the strange X-Bass function, the remote control is unfortunately not that great - you have to press very hard to achieve a reaction, that switching between the individual ones Channels is very tedious - scrolling through the channels faster by holding down the corresponding button is not possible. The enclosed operating manual (doesn't differ from the online version) is also structured a bit strangely - many functions and properties are simply not explained and unfortunately not self-explanatory :( So I have no idea how to switch off the "energy saving mode" - because you pause it For a certain amount of time (approx. 15 minutes) during CD/USB playback, the device simply switches to standby. In theory, it should be possible to obtain software updates - but if you select the function in the system settings menu, the display shows "PC Wizard" and then there is a layer in the slot - in this case, the only thing that helps is to pull the plug :/ I would have preferred a different color than orange for the display / text on the display itself - a plain white would have done it too and would also go with the style of the device. All in all, I am very satisfied with the auna Harvard IR system and would recommend it to anyone who, like me, would like to have everything in one ;)
