Tips for buying a gas grill
If you want to buy a new Klarstein gas grill, ask yourself first of all: Where do I want to use it, and how many people do I want to regularly cook for? If you have a fixed location, such as a balcony or terrace, a mobile gas grill is not necessary. A 3-burner gas grill is sufficient for 3-4 people. However, if you would like to grill large quantities or want to prepare ribs and other complex things, a 4-burner is recommended. This quickly shows which criteria you should pay attention to.
Gas grill FAQs
Gas grills use gas instead of charcoal. To do this, a gas bottle is connected, which ignites the gas in the burner, which then heats the grill grate, upon which you can begin grilling.
In principle, handling gas is not without risk. However, if you do a leak check before use, clean your grill regularly and always close the gas bottle afterwards, basically not much can happen. When grilling, always pay attention to the safety instructions in the instructions for use.
As is so often the case, this cannot be said in general terms. The main thing when choosing is knowing what you need. When making your selection, pay attention to high-quality workmanship, good ignition and a size and design that you like.
A gas grill should be of high quality, and have a lid as well as a firm stand. Pay attention to a good and easy ignition as well as to the processing of the grill grates. In addition, the pressure reducer and gas hose should already be included in the scope of delivery.
There is no general answer to this either. Cast iron is very popular because it has excellent heat conduction and retention. Stainless steel, on the other hand, is easier to clean and can be cleaned with aggressive cleaning agents. Cast iron, on the other hand, is only burned out and treated with oil to create a permanent patina and thus prevent the food from sticking to the grate.
That depends on the material. Most gas grills are made of stainless steel. A stainless steel cleaner can be used to clean the outside. If you work with cast iron grates, you should burn out your grill after use. That means letting it run for about 30 minutes at maximum power without any food on it. This is how pyrolysis begins.
Large 3 or 4 burner gas grills should have an output of 10-20 kW. Make sure that the burners have an output of 2-3 kW each. Overall, it is important that the heat in the grill is evenly distributed so that you can achieve excellent grilling results.
