Whether convector heater, electric fan heater or infrared heater - they all have one thing in common: dependence on electricity. Although different in function and details, they are all very easy to use and have the following characteristics:

What different types of heaters are there?

Convector Heaters

The convector heater makes use of the law of thermally-induced air movement. Cool air from the room flows into the convector, where it is then heated and delivered back into the room after it has been warmed. As soon as the temperature of the room air sinks and cools down, the air is sucked in by the convector and reheated. The special design of the heater creates a flow of movement that can heat the entire room.

Electric Fan Heaters

Fan heaters are mobile heaters that can be used easily in every room. They are particularly suitable for smaller rooms. These devices consist of a fan with a motor, housing, mains connection and a heating unit. Their big advantage is that they are ready for immediate use. When plugged into the nearest power outlet, they only need a moment to warm the air.

Infrared Heaters

Infrared heating is a variation of electric heating and, compared to other radiators, does not heat the room air, but rather the area or objects hit by the infrared rays - such as walls, furniture, bodies or ceilings. In this way, infrared heaters can warm up a space very quickly. While the radiant heat is said to have positive health effects, infrared heating is also very popular with people with allergies thanks to the low air movement required for operation.
