Den Durchmesser des Deckels hätte man daher auch etwas größer gestalten können. Den Deckel sollte man auch ab und an mal entfernen, damit Sauerstoff an das Brot gelangt und es frisch und haltbarer bleibt. Da die Brotbox auch über keine Luftungslöcher verfügt. Den Deckel kann man auch als Scheidebrett benutzten, würde ich aber nicht unbedingt empfehlen, da die Box dann nicht mehr so ein Hingucker ist. Von der Größe her, kann man sich nicht beschweren, da locker zwei kleine Brote oder ein großes Brot mt einem kleinem Baguett reinpasst. Die Länge fällt etwas klein aus, sodass leider kein großes Toastbrot hineinpasst. Auf dem Foto wird dies leider etwas größer dargestellt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis für diese Brotbox ist vollkommen in Ordung. Ich bin trotz der kleinen Mängel sehr zufrieden.

Der Holzdeckel wäre praktisch zum Schneiden von Brot, allerdings passen ganze Brote in diese Größe eher nicht rein. Einzelne Scheiben lassen sich aber gut lagern. Praktisch für kleine Haushalte.

Auf den ersten Blick war ich nicht so begeistert, weil die Dose doch recht wackelig ist, aber im Gebrauch hat sich gezeigt, dass alles okay ist. Das Brot bleibt angenehm frisch und es ist mal nix aus Plastik. Auf dem Brett lässt sich das Brot gut schneiden, allerdings gibt es kleine und feine Riefen, die sich dann bilden. Ich nutze lieber weiter unser großes Brotschneidebrett und den Deckel dann nur zum Servieren und abdecken. Ich bin zufrieden und vergebe 4 Sterne.

Ich nutze schon seit langem ein Schneidebrett für Brot aus Bambus. Ich mag dieses Material sehr und als Scheidebrett ist es sehr geeignet. Nun hat die Brotbox das Schneidebrett direkt integriert, was überaus praktisch ist. Allerdings ist das Brett nicht besonders dick und auch sehr leicht. Es passt genau auf die Box, aber wenn man es etwas nachlässig auflegt, fällt es auch schon mal in die Box und verhakt sich beim Herausnehmen. Ich hätte einen größeren Durchmesser besser gefunden. So muss man den Deckel wirklich immer passgenau auflegen. Wenn die Box gefüllt ist, passiert da natürlich nicht viel. Ich hatte mir die Box nach der Form ausgesucht, Oval gefällt mir einfach besser als eckig. Leider passt gar nicht so viel hinein wie ich erwartet hatte. Bei einem Sandwichtoast oder Brot in ähnlicher Größe stößt die Box sowohl in der Länge als auch in der Höhe an ihre Grenzen. Wir sind ein Zweipersonenhaushalt und habe meistens Toast und normales Brot im Gebrauch. Beides zusammen passt nicht in die Box. Da geben die Produktfotos einen falschen Eindruck. In selbst gebackenes Brot füllt die Box komplett aus. Dafür war sie auch gedacht und von daher bin ich zufrieden. Das Brot bleibt mehrere Tage frisch und dann ist es eh aufgegessen. Die Reinigung ist unproblematisch und die Box sieht zudem auch noch hübsch aus.

Mit persönlich fehlen die Lüftungslöcher, die ich von meinen herkömmlichen Behältnissen kenne. Die Luft sollte zirkulieren, um das Brot nicht pampig und zäh werden zu lassen, sondern eine gewisse Frische zu erhalten. Qualitat konnten wir keine Mängel feststellen. Bisher haben wir unser Brot immer in Plastiktüten aufbewahrt, damit es nicht zu schnell trocken wird. Auf der Suche nach einer Alternative dazu bin ich dann auf diese Brotbox gestoßen, die mir vor allem durch das Desgin und den netten Aufdruck direkt ins Auge gesprungen ist. Der Deckel ist gut verarbeitet und passgenau, d.h. er lässt sich einfach aufsetzen, "rastet" dank der Ausfräßung direkt ein und rutscht dann auch nicht hin und her. Einen Griff hat der Deckel leider nicht, aber so lässt sich immerhin problemlos noch etwas oben drauf stellen. Von der Größe her hab ich auch nichts zu bemängeln, passt genug rein, für einen Mehrpersonenhaushalt könnte es allerdings ein wenig knapp werden. Die Metallbox ist stabil und für den Preis ebenfalls sauber verarbeitet, die Farbe ist natürlich geschmackssache, bei uns passt sie gut in die Küche. Alles in allem kann ich die Box weiter empfehlen, sofern sie einem groß genug ist und man nicht zwingend einen Griff um einhändigen Öffnen braucht.

Was ich mir wünschen würde, sind an der Seite oben kleine Lüftungslöcher, für einen besseren Luftaustausch in der Box selbst. Die Brotbox überzeugt allein schon durch die gelungene Optik. Unser cremefarbener Blechbehälter mit dem Deckel aus hellem Bambusholz sieht einfach gut aus und passt vor allem zu unserer Holzküche gut. Die verschieden Farbkombinationen sind natürlcih gut geeignet, um die Box dem eigenen Küchenstil anzupassen. Aber auch die Funktionalität überzeugt. Der deckel schließt absolut dicht, die Box ist gut verarbeitet. Trotzdem findet Luftzirkulation statt, da das brot auch nicht muffig riecht und sich auch keine Feuchtigkeit in der Box bildet. Wir haben sowohl ein Grau-, wie ein Weißbrot in einem Leinenbeutel in die Box gelegt und beide Brotsorten waren auch nach mehreren Tagen noch nicht vertrocknet oder angeschimmelt etc. Also gerade für kleinere Haushalte, wo ein Brot nicht so schnell aufgebraucht wird, eine ideale Lösung. Die Größe der Box ist für zwei normale ungeschnittene kleine Brote (750g) ausreichend, Brotscheiben kann man natürlich besser packen. Am Angang roch die Dose noch etwas nach dem Lack, mit dem der Deckel bearbeitet ist, aber das verzog sich schnell. Generell würden wir jedoch einen einfachen Stoffbeutel zur Lagerung von Backwaren in der Box empfehlen. Die Reinigung der Box und des Deckels ist einfach mit einem feuchten Tuch zu bewerkstelligen. Der Hersteller wirbt damit, dass man den Deckel auch als Schneidebrett nutzen kann. Für den Einzelfall mit einem Brotlaib ist das sicher ok, aber generell leidet der Deckel dann doch zu sehr und dürfte bald verkratzt sein. Und für Fleisch etc. sollte man allein schon aus Hygieniegründen den Deckel nicht benutzen, da sich im Holz schnell Keime festsetzen. Die Farbe der Dose ist schön, das Metall ist hinreichend formstabil und der Lack glänzt. Wem das Motiv nicht zusagt, der kann die Dose auch umdrehen, auf der Rückseite ist sie schlicht weiß. Die Dose ist in mehreren Farbvarianten erhältlich. Ich habe mich für die weiße entschieden und bin mit meiner Wahl sehr zufrieden. Eine praktische Aufbewahrung, die Brotwaren aller Art frisch und knackig hält. Vor dem ersten Gebrauch sollte man Dose und Deckel gut abspülen. The shape is pleasing with the rounded sides. The bamboo material lid opens effortlessly and closes well and flush. The manufacturer suggests using it as a breadboard at the same time, of course you can do that, but that would actually be too bad for me and I'd rather use a different board for that. The color of the box is beautiful, the metal is sufficiently dimensionally stable and the paint shines. If you don't like the motif, you can also turn the can around, it's plain white on the back. The can is available in several color variants. I chose the white one and am very happy with my choice. A practical storage that keeps bread products of all kinds fresh and crisp. Before using for the first time, you should rinse the can and lid well. The lid has a certain odor of its own, but that then disappears.
