Smooth-running,high-performance compressor with low noise level

Absolutely taste-neutral plastic liner and pump system

Product description

The Klarstein Manhattan is an ice machine which works discreetly in the background to meet the needs of small and medium-sized events, so you don’t have to run back and forth with ice-cold hands.

The device in a kitchen and counter-friendly size produces cooling ice that accumulates to about 10kg over a period of 24 hours.

The powerful 150-watt unit works with comparatively low noise, so as not to disturb the conversations of your guests.

Technically, the Klarstein Manhattan Ice Machine is easy to operate via the clear operating section, making for easy success. A transparent window on top of the housing allows you to see the existing amount of ice cubes.

The working parts of the Klarstein ice maker are TUV-GS certified and naturally leave no aftertaste. This means that the inner lining and pumping system are made of entirely taste-neutral materials.

I bought this machine for my business. This ice machine is perfect, odorless and silent, fast enough for the production of cubes, I recommend it 100%.

Very well thought out appliance: compact, silent, aesthetically pleasing, very simple to use (despite the usual manual exclusively in German and English), practical to empty. How to use? You add water (it holds more than two litres), it turns on, and after about twenty minutes the first 9 'cubes' come out. As the process continues, the production time is reduced, down to 6/7 minutes and the cubes are more and more well formed. In one hour the dose of ice produced is already around 50 cubes, practically a generous cubic decimetre. The process of forming the cubes is fascinating (well! at least for me...): a pump fills a pan placed under nine refrigerated metal fingers. In contact with the cold metal, the water freezes and solidifies around the columns. When the machine decides that there is enough ice, the tray is emptied by placing itself aside and the icicles formed, no longer supported by the water, fall by gravity. A scoop pushes them into the ice bucket and the process starts all over again. From the transparent porthole you can follow the whole process and check the levels by eye, but the machine can easily be emptied of ice or topped up with water while it is running. In any case, two lights with relative buzzer warn of a full ice basket or an empty water tank. The instructions suggest not to turn the machine upside down to avoid compromising the compressor. Very practical, therefore, is the hole located on the bottom of the water tank, plugged with a silicone rubber, of which a spare is also supplied, which allows easy emptying at the end of the Siberian operations. Obviously it is suggested to do this with the machine placed over a drain, such as a kitchen sink!
