Match the power to what you're cooking: Three fan speeds let you dial in exactly the extraction you need — from a gentle 254 m³/h for light simmering up to 404 m³/h when things get smoky. The efficient 56 W DC motor keeps energy use low throughout.
Grease filters that clean themselves (almost): The aluminium grease filters simply go in the dishwasher — no scrubbing, no replacement costs. Built-in LED lighting (energy efficiency class A) gives you clear visibility over the hob while you cook.
Works with or without external ducting: No outside vent? No problem. The Athena runs in either extraction or recirculation mode — simply choose whichever suits your kitchen layout. Switch to recirculation and the two included activated charcoal filters get to work, neutralising odours without a single hole drilled in the wall.
A cleaner look for a modern kitchen: The slanted front panel in toughened safety glass or stainless steel gives any kitchen a sharp, contemporary feel — a real step up from a bulky chimney hood. Mount it at the recommended height of 65–75 cm above the hob and it catches vapours right where they form.

Grease vapours, cooking fumes, stubborn odours – the Klarstein Athena clears them all away. The slanted hood reliably extracts up to 254 m³/h of air pollutants during cooking and does so surprisingly quietly with a maximum of 63 dB even at the highest setting.
The slanted front panel made of safety glass or stainless steel directs the airflow straight into the filters – regardless of the height at which the hood is installed. This captures the steam right where it arises. The 56 W DC motor achieves this with three adjustable fan levels, and thanks to the A+++ energy efficiency rating, power consumption remains low.
Maintenance is easy: the aluminium grease filters can simply be cleaned in the dishwasher. For those who cannot or do not want to install an external exhaust, the Athena can be converted to recirculation mode – the included activated carbon filters (2 pieces per set) then take care of odour neutralisation. The integrated LED lighting (energy efficiency class A) ensures optimal visibility of the cooking surface.
The Klarstein Athena is ideal for small to medium-sized kitchens with standard ceiling height and is a popular choice for kitchen renovations. The slanted design looks significantly more modern than a classic chimney extractor. Recommended installation height: 65–75 cm above the hob.
