How does a portable Caravan Air Conditioner work?

The formula for calculating the required cooling capacity in watts is the square metre of the room * 60 with good insulation and little sunlight or * 100 with poor insulation and a lot of sun. To be cooled in this example is a camper: The case is 2.30 m wide and just under 5 m long, so the given space is approx. 12 square metres.
Therefore, the calculation would be 12 * 100, since it’s very sunny. Accordingly, the caravan air conditioner should have at least 1200 watts or converted into BTU 1200 / 293.71 * 1000 = 4085 BTU/hour.
For each person in the camper, you can add another 100-200 watts, and also for electronic devices that are operated you can add a few hundred watts. In that case, 2000 watts would be a generous calculation and that would give a capacity of 6800 BTU/h.
